WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate was moving Tuesday towards easing pension funding requirements for airlines and other beleaguered industries, despite opposition from the Bush administration, Republican aides said.
Supporters hope to bring up the pension proposal for a voice vote before Senators go home later Tuesday, possibly for the rest of the year, said the aides, speaking on condition of anonymity.
