PARKER VIDEO - MERGERS

Can't seem to get the video to work...

Can you give the highlights or is it the same old BS?

I just watched it and he basically said that the industry needs consolidation, that its good for the industry and the employees and my favorite, it works, as they have proven with the America West, US Airways merger. He also said that for now US would sit on the sidelines and see where the chips fall.

watching parker speak is like watching bush speak. anyway, in both cases, mickey mouse could do a better job.

NO one wants US and he knows it.......and the chips will fall in BK4, and this time no one will be there to save US. If the is anything left to sell off, it will go in pieces. Just a matter of time.

I couldn't help but laugh when he said we would finish labor contracts in 2008. Yeah right! Since when was he in any hurry?

Give me a break .... Who ever is left over will be snag by foreign carriers. Open skies is on the way.

Like before...all they want is assets... not the employees.

Who would want them? They are some of the most bitter negative people on the planet! I cant wait to merge to get rid of the US name and poison that is associated with it.

The first thing Doug should have done was change the name to something totally unassociated with US. It would have provided a clean slate with the east/west drama that seems to be lingering along like a International FA cropdusting in Envoy! ugh!

Cropdusters fueled with metamucil and hate... a toxic combo for sure.

You seem more bitter and negative with your tired barbs against US Airways F/As, particularly Philadelphia ones for some reason. Why are your tidbits in such a twist?

Oh, honey, no one told you? US Airways is like a cockroach. You can't kill it. We've been around longer than you and will be around longer than you.

You know why? Look up fragmentation in both contracts. We're protected. Some F/As are going to gone in any merger, and it's not going to be us or the other party's lazy legacy F/As. If I were you, I'd be dusting off the resume to see what regionals might be hiring- they seem more your standard anyway.

   Now come on EMB you know why jettsetter is so negative against Philly!!!! Jealousy pure and simple, of course I might feel that way too if none of the majors would've hired me when I applied at every single one of them when they were hiring and then only Fred Flinstone would have me.

Too funny! Jealousy is far from the picture! It will be nice when the next merger puts the East FA at a disadvantage when the buying company has more seniority then the PHL dinosaurs. :)

You might wonder where "Be careful what you wish for" came from. UAL is exactly where it came from..so you might want to "Be careful what you wish for...". Talk is cheap. Even cheaper behind a keyboard.
