Pack Up The Truck Were Moving To Tempe!

I talked recently with David Seymour, HP Vice Pres of Operations Planning Control (will have the same position with LCC). He oversees SOC & crew scheduling, and he says they still don't know where SOC will be located.

I think there's a decent chance it will stay in Tempe, but they are obvisously still looking at other options. Otherwise, we would have heard by now.

NOt that it matters--but my guess is they'll get a big house up in Paradise Valley or Scottsdale

At company expense I would bet. It would be interesting to see what type of moving package is given to them. I suspect it's more that what any of us get.

I pity any one who would have Al C as a neighbor. I couldn't imagine having to look at him everyday. But Im sure his housekeeping staff will help with his adjustment.

I have heard from friends in CCY and RIDC that if they were interested in a position with the merged company, they would have to re-apply / interview for the positions.

You have to scroll down and it's a one liner in the Republic Story. It does sound as if OCC is still undecided but if U wants to get rid of some old timers, move the OCC. Rumor is half won't leave their beloved Steelers........

Okay, I see it now. I need to keep an eye on this. Wish they would do more with PIT. It's a shame they have tumors like 700UW there poisoning the well. It's a wonderful town and a great airport.

I just read in today's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that UAIR has affirmed all of their existing leases in PIT. Don't know if that answers the question or not

Actually, the company has just filed a motion requesting that they be allowed to assume or reject property leases for up to 6 months after exiting BK....

They tried that with the POR too, and it was shot down. I'm pretty sure that every airport on the east coast will object, and it will probably be shot down.

I assume the reaffirmed leases are for the gates at the airport only, not for office space at the RIDC park.

If for no other reason than fairness to the leasors, I hope you're right.....

For those of you who have been scouring the court papers, any mention of how much the leases at CCY will be saving us per year once they are vacated? And have they filed to reject the leases there yet?
