The AMTA web site, WWW.AMTAUSA.COM, has been updated with a new page. The AMTA has the "Faces Behind Safety" page where we highlight skilled professionals from across our craft & profession. We have now added a page that shows where our craft's past started. The new page is called "Fathers of Aircraft Maintenance". (http://amtausa.com/fbs.html) The first person to be highlighted is William Hawley Bowlus. History has almost forgotten his contributions; just like Charles E. Taylor. But the AMTA, with your support, is trying to change that. Have you ever heard of Mr. Bowlus? Well, if not for Hawley's knowledge, skill & integrity a particular point in aviation's history would not have happened. As always, thank you for your support in the AMTA and our proud craft.
