Once The Best, Now The Worst

Since there is some question as to why WN isn't on the list, the point was made, they aren't a premium carrier.  There is a secondary list with the best single class service, and the results were as follows:

1. JetBlue
2. Midwest
3. Song
4. Frontier
5. Horizon
6. Independence
7. Southwest
8. Ted
9. ExpressJet
10. ATA

Note that JetBlue, Midwest, and Song all scored better than any of the "premium carriers," even without their first class, food offerings, etc.

Huh?

There are no premium class carriers on THIS list because it's a list of carriers with "single class" service. Not because they are worse.

Conde Nast at least had the foresight not to compare apples and oranges. Why are you mistakenly trying to use their research to do what they refrained from?

Why are you shouting and snide? I should be able to disagree without making you angry.

SKY HIGH states: Snide? Like YOUR REMARK? trying to prove me wrong with sarcasm?

The ports in FC are on the inside of the center armrest and well out of sight unless the observer gets intimate with the passenger.

Sky high states: sorry, DONT WORK FIRST. But I certainly KNOW where those 12/16/26 ports are, and, again rarely see them used.

I find that amazing. On United I see 2 or 3 people using the ports per flight! Why don't they use them over at US?

I see more use on AA than Usairways too. I don't know why. Could it be that a number of the big-time fliers left U a long time ago? Or perhaps U has more short-ish flights where the battery is fine.

One long-term outcome of losing the ports is that in-air wifi will be pretty impractical on anything but short flights since wifi is a power hog.

It doesn't matter. Pretty soon all the suits will be yacking incessantly and loudly about their big deals on their cellphones throughout the entire flight. Gee, I can't wait.

:(

Ditto on AA except I see as many as 10 per flight. And, I've never heard them mentioned as a MTC problem. The major problem I encounter is [in]frequent flyers who think that AA should provide the adapters free of charge.

Seems like U management is missing a big point here. Clearly the FFs at AA and UAL value powerports. If the new U plans to compete for these high $$ fliers, esp on longer flights, than they ought to listen-up a bit.

Of all the things that should be cut or enhances the removal of powerports should be the least of anyones worries. If a FF leaves one airline to fly another because they have powerports then so be it. Strange indeed. I feel that they could keep them operational up front and deactivated in the coach cabin. I don't even remember seeing anyone use them in coach. In f/c they are on the inside but in coach they are on the ends of the armrest. They need to deactivate those stupid phones. I know, everyone uses those as well.... I can't remember seeing anyone use the phones except for parents who use them to amuse their children.

Here is a concept that has apparently escaped most if not all of the big six carriers, why not ASK your Frequent Flyers what they desire?

Why start now?

Did US finally turn on audio yet? When I flew them internationally last year, they had NOthing. Amazing but true.

All of the international flights I've been on in the past years on US have all had audio, except for the 1 time it was out on the row I was in and I didnt want to change seats. Maybe you just didnt hit the right volume button!

Possible....but it was on every leg (4). They put down the screens and showed us some US Airways commerical, then they put them up. Granted, it was only to Bermuda, but still how much can it cost to download some tunes from LimeWire and pipe it into the audio?
