Thought some might like to know where some names from the recent past of US Airways have landed. Some of our favorites like:

Travis Christ - President of the Americas at Travelport
Tony Grantham - Managing Partner at SBWR
Sherri Shamblin - President at Two Hawk, LLC
Mike Shamblin - Manager at Marine View Ventures
Larry LeSueur - Owner at LeSueur Wholesale
Anthony Mule - Owner, ATM Corporation
Kerry Carstairs - SVP at C3/CustomerContactChannels, Inc (3rd gig since leaving US in '06)

Looks like our man Travis landed firmly on his feet while others have formed their own businesses. However B Ben Baldanza (inspiration for the original cockroaches) has really scored rising to CEO of Spirit Airlines. Also along for that ride is Mr Barry Biffle of Many Islands Low Fares fame as Chief Marketing Officer of Spirit. The company had or is about to have it's IPO and go public so of all things Bill Franke's hedge fund can recoup some of their investment.


Well folks there you have it. More useless information from a bored aviation geek.

And your Enema sending buddy Chris Chiames was working for Jerry Glass at Ford and Harrison. And a web search shows him as the Executive Director at SCAA, then the ED at GW University Cheney Heart Center.

You're absolutely correct and for my 2 cents it's a primary reason Spirit is successful. You mean like:

Bobby Schroeter - Senior Director, Consumer Marketing at Spirit Airlines
Bruce Dudgeon - Director of Security
Robyn Moy - Manager, Route Planning at Spirit Airlines
Jake Filene - Sr. Director, Corporate Real Estate & Airport Administration at Spirit Airlines
Tony Lefebvre - Sr Vice President at Spirit Airlines
Eric Netland - Director of Revenue Management at Spirit Airlines
Scott Fisher - Director, Dynamic Packaging at Spirit Airlines

I know there are others as well. Take a look sometime at the Spirit web site and you'll be flabbergasted. Then compare it to US Airways. If you knew nothing of either carrier you'd swear Spirit was the bigger carrier. They have it together. They are or have gone public ans save for the costs associated with the strike have been PROFITABLE for some time, like WN,
