Where are the TWU’s arbitration cases to bring people back to work??? Never mind, I had almost forgotten the TWU advocated to lower wages, benefits and to lay people off and do not have grievances to file.

Amfa has over 11,000 members on layoff!!!! And this is how many they have left:

Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) represents over 18,000 technicians for United, Northwest, Southwest, Alaska, ATA, Atlantic Coast, Mesaba, and Horizon Airlines. AMFA is an independent union and is not affiliated with the AFL-CIO. For more information visit their website at www.amfanatl.org.

Ask the 35% out of work what they think of AmFa!!!!!!!The count goes on and on and on!!!!!! When are you going to get together and stop the bleeding??????? of jobs???????

Hey CIO,

When are our 3,000+ mechanics coming back to AA from layoff? Ask those 3,000+ plus what they think of the TWU giving up the farm and they still hit the street!

Hey Judy,

Better check your numbers babe!! I think you are confusing TWU's numbers with amfa's!! You compare . . . we lost less than 1300 M&R SYSTEM WIDE due to the restructuring agreement. While these losses are unfortunate the possibility of their return is greater simply because we didn't agrre to farmout their work to third party vendors.

Ask the 10,000 amfa mechanics which is worse. . .the 100% that amfa got them with no oppurtunity to return or the 17% that the TWU ended up with, with an oppurtunity for recall.

The layoffs at UAL happened before the AMFA was even on the property. The IAM would not even file a grievance for me when they collaborated with the company to close Indy. The AMFA filed for me even though I am not a member. I was very happy to have the opportunity to vote for the AMFA even though I was on layoff status and will probably never work for UAL again. I would love to show up for 1 day and collect a big back pay check before resigning. FUAL, FIAM.

What about the mechanics that came from TWA? You forgot all about those didn't you TWUer? I hate to tell you this TWUer. They are on our TWU seniority list despite the TWU's efforts to forget about them. Typical TWU smoke and mirrors.

twuer, you say we have only lost 1300 system wide yet, here in Tulsa alone we have lost 1,164. Take a look at page 2 item 18 of the 2001 LM2

2001 LM2

The total is 7889.

Then take a look at page 2 item 18 of the 2003 LM2.

2003 LM2

The total is 6725

7889-6725=1,164

So you are saying that only 136 people lost their jobs in total of the rest of the system??? What about MCI, STL and the rest of the system???

RUSTY!!!!!!!!

You are ready to start running with the big dogs.

Congrats on that find.

I bet some of that loss could be attributed to the OUTSOURCED TO CHINA jobs of the Zebco Workers!

There was over 4,300 on the April 2001 TWA seniority list which reflects the year ending 2000 total M&R headcount. Today we have less than 2,000 TWAers left at AA thanks to the twu. :( :(
