I would throw Munich in there too. Very friendly staff. Was able to process a ZED fare for my girlfriend and I to Paris in less than 5 minutes.

Paris was easy and not too expensive and the staff there was very friendly. The metro system, like a lot of Europe was top notch.

Madrid offers so so much. The food is fabulous, the flamenco shows are breathtaking, the wine exquisite, and the people are so colorful and wonderful. Viva Espana!

Munich was wonderful.........I was flying on company business within a few days of the official merger and the gate agents there in Munich were wonderful........very excited about the merger. Just wish everyone could be at least as happy as the fellow employees that I encountered in Munich. As a side note, a huge majority in PHL were terrible........but there were a couple good ones. I hope that there is hope.

BCN is awesome!

BCN has hills/mountains and beaches. The architecture is incredible. Anton Gaudi the architect was way ahead of his time. Las Ramblas the walking street is one of the nicest Boulevards in Europe. The streets are lined with trees. In the older parts of the city the street intersections are 8 sided making for a more open feel. I happened to be there one year on September 24th and there was a festival going on called the Merci Festival. What a surprise and lots of fun, it was very paganish with lots of dragons and fireworks.

Happy Travels

Have to agree BCN is a pretty cool place....

As much as I love Rome, I'd have to say Dublin is a great favorite too.

The people are warm, friendly and lots of fun! The agents are just wonderful and ill do their best to get you on board.

The country is beautiful, if a little cool. Bring a sweater and an umbrella.

Take the time to visit Trinity College and see the Books of Kell. Amazing.

I enjoyed the food. And in the pubs, they have "Sings Sings" where roving musicians stop in to play songs you can sing along with! Everyone joins in and it's blast! A pint or two of the local ale helps you get into the mood!

The Temple Bar area is a fun tourist area. Lots of Irish trinkets and soveniers <spelling?>

House of Ireland has many nice things, sweaters, glasswear and some jewerly.

On Grafton Street, the main shopping street, there's lots of kiosks selling silver necklaces, earrings and other goodies at a small price.

You can also buy Waterford Crytal and they give airline employees a discount. I recomment sending the Waterford home by UPS.

Also, take some time and stop in the bookstores. Irish history is powerful!

I'd also recommend taking a tour. Great stories!

It's just not possible to have a bad time in Dublin! Be sure to try the bread! It's just so yummy with that good Irish butter!

Piney...thank you for that! AMS was somewhere I would have considered after 6 or 7 other destinations, but with all the info (beer) and history (hubby loves WWII history) it seems like a GREAT place. (It was the museums that would have drawn me there in the first plce.)

THANKS!

...If you more of the artsy fartsy type visit the Van Gogh & Rijksmuseum in AMS...

I voted for Paris, but I agree with Piney; if you're going to AMS, the Van Gogh museum is a "must see."

All double entendres aside, AMS is a visually stimulating city, and anyone who goes will find themselves constantly looking around.
