Two Northwest Airlines jets delayed in Fargo
Associated Press
FARGO, N.D. - Two Northwest Airlines flights were grounded in this city for several hours Wednesday because of mechanical problems.

Northwest spokesman Dean Breest said it was "pretty unusual" to have two planes grounded at the same airport at the same time.

The unspecified problems were fixed and the flights departed for Minneapolis late in the morning, Breest said. Passengers said they were told that air speed indicators failed on both planes.

One of the planes had 120 passengers; the other 40. Northwest provided them with flight vouchers for the inconvenience of the delay.

Passengers aboard one of the flights said they were rolling down the runway when the pilot hit the brakes, jostling them in their seats.

"We were just taxiing down the runway and ... just about lifting off the ground and all of a sudden we heard a squeal and something bang, and everyone kind of flew forward into the seat in front of them," said passenger Virginia Eli, of Fargo.

Got in-laws in Grand Forks. Why can't we drive? OH I FORGOT. AIRFARE IS cheaper than DRIVING. <_<

Are you sure you don't want to post a few pages of the phone book while your at it.
You're in a "funny man" mood. Your name should of been funman not finman. :p

Jeez finman, in all my years in aviation I have never heard of two ASI's failing on two separate aircraft on the same day. Its sounds like another Scab Air press release excrement pile, the stench is overwhelming.

But I digress, Dougie Stealin' said its "flawless"....and it shows.

that is not a bad slogan,"Dougie's Flawless and it shows!"
Wow surprising to see two planes have the same problem when they have the superscab pto on hand to fix it! NOT NOT!

Errr...I'm not in aviation but the issue of both Fargo aircraft being grounded for the same problem seems REAL BAD!

Is this "The New Northwest"? I'm so glad that I left NW for another airline.

...odd event yes, but a good case for the replacement workers being terrible, not so much.
