She escaped the Nude-O-Scan?

First of all it was a he, not a she and second there is no humor in a young man's death.

I didn't hear US mentioned in the video...Jetblue flys non stop CLT/BOS....

The newspaper article said they were looking at several flights:

One runway approach over Milton was active Nov. 15, the evening Tisdale was discovered, officials said. Several flights to Boston from Charlotte, operated by US Airways and JetBlue, arrived that night, according to company websites.

I disagree. If it turns out this was indeed a case of landing gear stowing-away then I submit we are allowed to make light of individuals that willfully break the law to place themselves in extreme danger and then are killed by their own stupid decisions. Of course it sucks that it happened at all but there's nothing I can do about it.

What if he'd somehow disabled one of the landing gear, placing everyone else in danger too? That would have been even more unhumorous.

If this child did stow away in the wheel well of an aircraft, it does, INDEED, beg the question as to why those of us on the inside of the terminal are going through hell to fly as a passenger or crew, while there is apparently no security on the outside of the terminal at all.

Why are passengers going through security hell to fly? For show. Nothing more. And, 99.99% of the passengers accept that show as reality and FEEL safer when the truth is they are not much safer than they were the day the first magnetometers went up.

The airline security scam went into place decades ago to stop hijackers from taking the airplanes to Cuba. It probably did a poor job, but the screeners did catch a firearm here and there. (I don't know if they ever caught a firearm on someone who was later shown to have malicious intent, i.e. to hijack.) But these were measures meant to stop a person who wanted to live through the crime.

With terrorists willing to kill themselves in the process, airlines will NEVER be totally secure. NEVER. It's not possible. But passengers are all too willing to spend their tax dollars and give up privacy and dignity to let the government PRETEND to keep them safe. They are all simply fooling themselves. It doesn't matter what the government does, suicidal terrorists will eventually get some plot completed. If a terrorist even makes it to the airport, then the government intelligence community has failed. The money being wasted on high tech scanning equipment would be better spent on building up the intelligence gathering and investigation arms so that terrorists would be detected BEFORE they even left for the airport. But, passengers want the to see the show, so the money gets wasted.

And, think about this the next time you are in one of those Disneyland-type serpentine security lines with about 200 or 300 other passengers waiting for the X-rays and gropes: If there is a suicidal terrorist on line with you, and he does indeed get caught at the checkpoint, what's to stop him from detonating his device right there and taking out the entire entrance lobby, the hundreds of passengers and the security staff? Do you think a nut-case terrorist is just going to give up and meekly head for jail when he is literally "all charged up" with a colon full of C4 plastic explosive?

And, in the aftermath of such a hideous crime....then what? More screeners? More pat downs? Better x-ray machines? What earthly good would it do?

Post of the day my friend : Happy Thanksgiving.

Its not ok to make fun of this young man, sounds like he has some serious mental or depression issues, if you think its ok to make fun of someone for that, then you really need to rethink your morals.

And if you know anything about airplanes, the Pressure of the Hydraulics would crush a human body or snap it in half like a toothpick. People have been killed because of hydraulics on planes.

I agree with the busdriver. Is there anything more foolish than the watch list? What self respecting terrorist would fly under his own name?

Actually, none of us are privy to the circumstances surrounding how this young man may or may not have ended up in the landing gear. I agree that it is unfortunate, and tragic, but I don't agree that I can't make fun of what happened. My morality is in pristine condition as I've given it more thought than most. Every day thousands of tragedies hit the world and the headlines, are we to be somber and serious for every single one? Death and misfortune are a part of life, and none of us can escape them. My morality allows me to deal with the subject in an honest way; I'm not going to feign gravity and sadness for every stranger I hear about dying under odd or unfortunate circumstances, that's depressing, cheapens the quality of those emotions when I sincerely feel them, and not how I choose to live.

Quite true, as is consistent with the bodily trauma as it was reported in the article. I read in another that since 1996 there have been some 62 reported landing-gear stowaways and most of them died from being crushed or freezing to death. Stuff like this almost falls into the Darwinsim-in-action category, which makes it fair game for comedic material.

Go up to his Mother, Father and siblings and tell them its ok for you to make fun of their son who died, hopefully you will never lose a child. Your dont have moral character if you think its ok to make fun of it, do you make fun of 9/11 also?
