The other day we had a situation at our station that was bound to occur. We have had a Mesa flight for over 2 months now and they never supplied us with any equipment to support their A/C. No towbar, no stairs and so on. We have been borrowing another airlines stairs from day one. Well, you guessed it...the other day that airline needed their stairs and took them. Our flight came in with 49 passengers and there was no way to deplane them. After 20 minutes we were able to once again borrow the stairs to get the passengers off the A/C. Is this not
customer service at it's best. Why would you send any A/C to a staion with no support equipment????Did they think that we could borrow from others free of charge forever???? The freebies have come to a close, so now what???

Wings, we are in the same boat. We have Stairs but nothing else to support the ERJ. The last time the APU was inop we took a THREE hour delay looking for a 28V Ground Power Unit. Mesa tells us that the contract with USAirways clearly STATES that USAIRWAYS WILL SUPPLY ALL GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT. So bottom line, OUR company has failed the passengers once again. Going nowhere fast...USAirways!!!

I hear you on that one. And so this is the way to increase revenue with poor customer servce. The wonderful RJ's at our station have not been a crowd pleaser from the start. Fill 'EM up and leave 20 bags behind. Let's see here, we leave passengers behind with only 50 seats to offer, then we leave the others bags behind and pay delivery charges on them. Maybe I am missing something here, but how does this improve our comany???? What has been saved by paying the Express wages, is being lost on bag delivery and the lack of seats to sell. The other Airlines at our station are benefiting big time from our blunders. Fear not as the RJ's are going to save US Aiways...that is the biggest joke ever, as they will lead to our demise in many markets.

I noticed when we flew the ABE-CLT and CLT-ABE Mesa flights that the boarding stairs were clearly marked "CONTINENTAL".

HAVE NO FEAR THEY TELL US A TOW BAR IS ON THE WAY.

We have needed stairs and tow bar since SEPT 15TH.
The mangers calls have fallen on deaf ears.

JUST THINK THIS WILL HAPPEN IN PWM NEXT AND WHERE EVER ELSE WE START WITH THE SAVIOR OF THE FLEET THE RJ's.

IT IS A SHAME THE COMPANY HAS TO TAKE OUR PAY AWAY FROM THE WORKERS,
TAKE AWAY AIRPLANES THAT WERE FULL AND COMFORTABLE FOR THE PASSENGERS.

RVOLCPA..THANKS FOR FLYING WITH US.

STOP BY AND TALK TO US AND WE WILL TELL YOU

HOW IT IS TO WORK FOR FREE AND BE ON WELFARE HELP.

THAT'S WHAT WE ARE GOING THRU THANKS TO MISMANGEMENT.

RVOLCPA..has a passenger have you ever sent an email to Ceo Seigel.

We here he reads the boards and i know for a fact he returns email.

Just a note on my return email I DON'T THINK HE REALLY CARES ABOUT

US THE EMPLOYEE ONE BIT.

What is Dave's email address? I think I'm ready to send him a message. I don't want to dramatize the situation at ABE, but it is aggravating to passengers like me who have other choices but try to fly US Airways.

well today we got a towbar for the mesa thing but the jetway is broken and of course we dont know how to hook an erj towbar and the use of the safety pin.
supposenly we'll have it by the end of a few weeks!

We only have one set of airstairs for RJ's at my station. Last night was a close one. We had two RJ's on the ground within 15 minutes. But, like cattle, they rush off and we race the stairs for the next flight. We finally receiced a towbar for the RJ's, but we don't have a tug compatible for pushing. As a side note, while cleaning a Mesa flight last night. I noticed we had a mixture of Sept and Oct Attache magazines in each seat pocket in the middle of November.!

I have also noticed at ISP that US (ALG) is using more and more of Eagle's ground equipment (baggage carts, tug, even once or twice GPU. Have they stopped spending on necessities altogether???

Robbed Again. Is it you don't know how to hook up an ERJ towbar or you don't want to know how to hook up the towbar. I am sure someone in your station has been trainied. Why don't you ask someone to train you ?
YOUR PART OF THE PROBLEM

"I have also noticed at ISP that US (ALG) is using more and more of Eagle's ground equipment (baggage carts, tug, even once or twice GPU. Have they stopped spending on necessities altogether???"

ALG is advising their employees that they currently operate 40 Dash8's, which is 2 more than they planned to( to cover Midway's loss). The master plan is to reduce A/C to 18 by the end of 2004. So what do you think?

To cover Midway's loss, they also pulled the 3PM ISP flight to PHL. Does anyone have a clue what the company has in store for ISP? I am tired of losing flights here, especially when they're all full to overbooked. I hope MDA or someone gives us RJ's to PIT or CLT.

They claim it's a yield thing, but if they played it right they could do very well at ISP against WN.

They just don't have a clue......

ramper: we have never hooked up a towbar to an rj at my station because with the
design of the newer terminal, they could easily power off and turn just to the right and be on the way but the airport refuses to allow it to happen. no one at my station has hooked a towbar to the rj and our manager is trying to get the proper material for it. I suggested asking continental express as they are the only other erj operator at my station.

RAMPRAT.....

WE r not the problem.....

ABE went mainline express in September 15th and noone is trained

to do anything with the rj but load and unload the bags and do air starts.

PLUS for 13 dollars an hour why should we go out of our way.

It is the COMPANYS JOB TO PROVIDE THE TRAINING NOT THE EMPLOYEES
TO GO LOOKING FOR THE TRINING.

Rvolkcpa..when u email Dave tell him we won't more money.

living on welfare STINKS.
