Merry Christmas to All

Unfortunately, I haven't heard his show in years. I certainly don't need someone to point out something so obvious.

You guys make your allegiances known very clearly. Csar has been nothing but a gentleman ever since he joined this board, and for no other reason than his union (non)affiliation, this man with the courage and bravery to fight for his country is lambasted with nothing but vile demagogary. That fact alone cements the notion that you guys (and gals) place a greater allegiance to unionism than to your country.

Care to opine? (No, I don't listen to Bill O'Reilly either)
His military career has nothing to do with his lowly scab assistance in helping POS rogue Scab Air management take another crap on its employees. Of course Finman, you like what he has done to his fellow AMT's in the profession because your cut from the same sh*t stained cloth as Dougie Stealin'. Your airline is failing, and I hope you enjoy the ride down with the scabs.

As just a simple worker (er...scab), Czar is on the wrong side. Hopefully someday, he will enjoy the same actions against his livlihood he has commited against those who fought the likes of the greedy robberbarrons that are now in control of Scab Air.

Let's see how welcome a "Merry Christmas" is to a man who lost his career because of a hollow man who thinks its right to steal another man's job.

Yes, I do understand. I understand that your hatred for me outwieghs any attempt I may make to be pleasant and polite in wishing even you, one who hates me with every fibre of your being, a sincere merry Christmas.I have tried to be civil here. I am not asking for forgiveness, nor am I asking for any kindness on my part to be reciprocated by you. I, Al Clark, am merely wishing you, UAL tech, a true heartfelt Christmas greeting. If this offends you for whatever reason, there is nothing I can do about it. I even tried to forwarn you to think before responding, yet you continue to play right into supporting the mostley false stereotype of all union guys being nothing but corrupt, thuggish brutes who are so filled with hate that they cant even allow themselves to wished a merry Christmas. Pretty sad, really, cause my gut tells me you are really a better person than that.

‘HATE’ is a very strong word and I do not believe that I have ‘ever’ used this term in regards to anyone (nor in my own Heart) since I was six. I do not ‘Hate’ anyone; we all have an affliction commonly referred to as the human condition (life). Life experiences have a tendency to mire ones conception of reality, right or wrong, this is a fact. The fact remains that you are a scab and my first hand knowledge of your 'educated' decision to perform this action and the ‘LIFETIME’ effects that it has had on ‘HONORABLE’ people just trying to make a living pisses me off. And the ‘FACT’ that the actions of you and your ‘Band Of Udders’ do not see that your actions will spill down with the lack of opportunities for your offspring.

I am remorse that an articulate individual would not have the foresight that you should and continue to defend a dishonorable action. But I do not 'HATE' you.

Ok finman. If the ‘courageous gentleman’ who fought for this country is such a great and decent human, why wasn't he working for a major carrier BEFORE we went on strike?

I think I can answer that one...I never WANTED to. A very common mistake among workers at the major airlines is the erronious assumption that ALL in aviation aspire to work there. Believe it or not, many mechanics dont feel an overwhelming desire to work in a line environment. This may come as a shock to you all, but you aint exactly at the top of the food chain, so to speak. I did a stint at a regional carrier, and wasn't too impressed with the 121 mentality. I dont say this as a shot to you all, merely to point out that there are ALOT of great opportunities in aviation OUTSIDE the airlines. It all dependes on what type of work you prefer.
Local 12 asked me some time ago if I had ever applied at a major airline before. the answer is no. I felt at that time, that wasnt where I wanted my career to go. I'm a little older now. Whether I want to admit it or not, my body cant work the brutal pace and conditions it used to. (truethfully, you have NO idea how hard that is for me to admit). There are a host of other reason that I have already stated in past posts if you wish to know more, and are so inclined to understand my motivations.

:down:Wrong again or just more lies? Both I suspect. No one would hire you before a strike and the only job you could get was scabbing. Because they set the standards so low when recruiting scabs, you snuck in. Your not fooling anyone scab boy. Stop wrapping yourself in the flag and the cross. It is a pathetic attempt at improving your image.

Holy sh*t Czar Scab, I've heard it all now. You never wanted to, right  Before 9-11, as a AMT, inspector, and the like, there was NO better pay, benefits, and working conditions then at a major...except maybe a private corporate career. Those are rare, few and far between. Try getting in right now at Southwest, Fed Ex, or UPS, the cream of the crop at the moment. You will not get anywhere near them if your not the best, with a immpecable record, and then you'd be real lucky to even get an interview. Of course as a scab, don't even bother wasting your time with the application.

Years ago, before the assault on the profession in which you so gladly assisted began, I have made over a 100K a year in overhaul with overtime. I can't think of any "career" at a armpit MRO that could even come close to that. I defy you to tell us where the "top of the food chain" is or was other than a major. It sure as hell isn't where your at now. Your a lowly scab begging for any scraps Dougie throws your way after he pockets his millions and screws everyone else again and again.

I've stated this over and over, if the opportunities are so great outside the majors for you, WTF are you doing as POS scab at a failing carrier??? Makes no sense to me, so please enlighten us if you would sir. I agree there are great opportunities for a skilled mechanic or avionics tech, (this is why 72% of former NWA AMFA mechanics resigned) but they ARE NOT in aircraft maintenance at Scab Air. For some reason or another, current scabs like yourself couldn't get hired at a major before the strike and the great lowering of standards. When I was hired on back in the 80's, you had to have years of experience with a A@P and a clean record . Where you are, that's no longer the case is it??? I know a of few miscreants at Scab Air that were terminated from my employer for substance abuse and other criminal offenses, Dougie snapped them right up, no problem at all, come on in. ;)

Your body can't take the abuse of a brutal arm pit MRO or related, but you have helped Dougie and his band of management misfits ruin a once somewhat decent carrier (I use that term very loosely) into a shell of its former self. When it fails, where are you going to go to retire??? Right. Back to busting your back at some MRO dump away from home for sh*tty pay. Just like your buddy PlaytheCods is now over in the third world. I've been around this biz for a long time, and I hit the nail right on the head with my charactor assessment of the type of scabs that so willingly crossed the picket line. It's just the simple truth, like you.......it's all they can get or they would be somewhere else.

Right on Hackman. I figured the scab would jump into the fray with some tortured logic as to why he chose to be a courageous and honorable scab. He must have chosen to give up the cushy high paying great job he had so he could follow his divine given right to take our job while we fought against corporate greed.

It is very sad to think that this guy supposedly fought for our nation. Not the guy I would want watching my back.

 You did not want the $38 an hour you wanted the $26? You didn't want the $85 per month retirement you wanted $0? You didn't want the better benefits you wanted less? Some story there war hero but then that's all we have heard from you. For a certified genus your not to smart.

So much for peace on earth, and goodwill towards men....

Personally, I can see why someone might be more willing to work for a regional or MRO, especially if it means being able to live in a small town and maintain both a lower cost of living and a better quality of family life, as opposed to moving to urban jungles like DTW, MEM or MSP, which is typically where jobs with the majors are.

If you have to sacrifice quality of life to get a higher paycheck, perhaps the money isn't really worth it in the long run.

Somebody here gets it! Well said.
Bye the way, if INDEED your priority is pay over location/quality of life, L3vertec is paying well over 100 grand a year, if your willing to play in the sandbox.
Point to ponder: Most exNWA A and P's claim to have found jobs that pay almost as good, without all the problems alledgedly associated with working for the majors. Do you think it is even REMOTELY possible that these of your own number have discovered what we poor ignorant savages have known all along-that there is INDEED life worth living outside the airlines?
Food for thought is all.....

then what are you doing in detolit?

People have different reasons for moving to/from the city. Some do it in order to tend to family matters (e.g. aging parents). Others do it for health care. Hospitals in the boondocks aren't exactly known for being the best place to go for specialized treatments like chemotherapy on a weekly basis, and don't have as many resources or specialists available as you'll find in a metro area or at a university research/teaching hospital.

Whatever the case, living and working in the boondocks doesn't make you any less qualified than someone who lives and works in an urban jungle. In some ways, I found that the guys from the small towns usually learned to do more with the resources they had available than the city boys...
