FAA finds mechanic in Charlotte crash did not break rules

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Federal Aviation Administration has cleared the mechanic who worked on a commuter plane two days before it crashed in Charlotte last year of violating federal regulations.
However, that does not mean the FAA believes the maintenance was performed correctly, The Charlotte Observer reported Wednesday.
