Does anyone know why there are so many addresses for MidAtlantic?

Some paperwork has a PIT address and some has a Middletown address (Allegheny's headquarters). I recieved mail that had the PIT address on the document but the return address and stamp were from the Allegheny HQ in MDT.

I know the WO's payroll and stuff has been consolidated there, but why is MidAtantic stuff coming from there?

Though MAA is "supposed" to be part of mainline, it really isn't. Within days of the announcement that ALG/PDT would be forced to merge, the MAA employees were issued new badges with PDT employee #'s. At that time the process also begin to switch MAA to the SSO, and also the express health carrier among other things.

My guess..... One day MAA/PDT/ALG will all be a part of the same entity. If the scope issues are dropped, my guess is sooner than later.

I heard that the MAA employees have been given PDT numbers to differentiate between the old mainline employee numbers and their "new" status as a MAA employee. I guess they picked PDT since it is a wholly owned...no idea as to why they didn't use PSA numbers...maybe it is true that they are going to be sold, who knows.
IMO, I don't see why they would combine PDT (PDT/ALG merge) and MAA...what about flow through issues, the turboprops, etc? It doesn't make sense to me, but then again, not much any more does.

Anybody out there heard any news regarding the April MAA class for F/As and how it is sizing up?

I have heard that once PDT and ALG are merged that MDA will operate under ALG's certificate. I don't know if this is fact or not as it is second hand info from a few ALG crews.

The new employee #'s are actually PDT #'s..... General round table consensus seems to be that once ALG/PDT are merged however it comes to pass that MAA will be merged as well. Were that to happen, the three merged lists would be a pretty sizable regional carrier with 60-80 Dash-8's and 40ish ERJ-170's. If Mgmnt is able to obtain the scope relief they would like (the one Mr. 320 is pushing to anyone who will listen), that scenario could be allowed to happen. Interesting to note, not one of the three carriers has an official J4J agreement... MAA has J4J, but is it becomes part of either airline, it also falls under their CBA. B)

So then what would happen to the furloughed f/as headed for MAA? Would they merge seniority with the PDT/ALG flight attendants? Any thoughts on how this would work? Do you think it would still be a wholly owned subsidiary? Could this be a good thing? (Or not?)

The big benefit of selling PSA to MESA or whomever is that Mainline ALPA does not get to dictate to a wholly owned how the 70's are going to be staffed. LOA 83 was just another ALPA way of screwing there own people at the wholly owneds. I can't wait to see the happy faces of the MAA pilots when they become a true wholly owned sold out by there big brothers over at mainline.... OOPS i forgot MAA is mainline or what is it????
