here are some i can think of:Light Years said:Anyone know what the longest US flights are operated by RJs?
That has to be up there. But it wasn't so cramped on a recent day when 17 volunteers were needed due weight/balance restrictions; 50 seats for 33 to sperad around in.mp863 said:what about JAXDCA?
DFW will never see MDA flights. As of now, their jetways are not equipped to handle the 170. Would US pay to modify them? who knows...sfb said:MCI-PHL starts 7/6 and that will be 1039 miles. Saturday-only MSP-CLT is 930 and MSP-PHL is 980. IAH-CLT on Saturdays is 913 miles.
Edit:
Looks like MDA will be flying all PHL-IAH frequencies and that is 1324 miles. If PIT is de-hubbed, I would bet money that IAH (and maybe DFW) will go "Mainline Express."
It has something to do with the height of the building..not the a/c. It's the same reason why GSO doesn't use jetways for their RJ's. Because of the way the building is built, the jetway simply cannot go low enough. This is what I was told. DFW did have F100 service..but it was restricted to a jetway that US no longer has a lease on.Hope777 said:Why can't the Jetways in DFW handle the EMB170?
They are not much lower then the B737's or about the same height as the F100's. Didn't Dallas have F100 Service? And don't kid yourself, all they would more then likely need to do, is lowwer the Limits, barely.
