I thought this was a Delta Air Lines board.
I used to know plenty there until they were decimated after NWA took aim at the IAM after they were done with the Mechanics and F/A's. Most have all quit and moved on to better careers.i am a new recruit at delta as CSA ticket and gate. I am just wondering how will be the job. any one on the board can you please post your comments
Pay no mind to the negative posters here. Life has left them soured.i am a new recruit at delta as CSA ticket and gate. I am just wondering how will be the job. any one on the board can you please post your comments
it is 2009. (and there was a merger)back in 2005
Please tell me which part of my post was untrue.Pay no mind to the negative posters here. Life has left them soured.
Like any job, it is what you make it. Enjoy it!

The poster's moniker is DeltaDetroit, so I assumed that the position is a CSA in DTW. Delta had very few CSA's in DTW prior to the NWA merger.my personal opinion is simply the only person(s) who can accurately answer this question would be a DL employee who is familiar with the job classification...CSA.
I worked the ticket counter for 2 years, so yes I know exactly how it goes. However, you couldn't pay me enough to work the gate.my personal opinion is simply the only person(s) who can accurately answer this question would be a DL employee who is familiar with the job classification...CSA.
I thought you were inflight management? h34r:I worked the ticket counter for 2 years, so yes I know exactly how it goes. However, you couldn't pay me enough to work the gate.
OMG...did you just make a funny? :huh:I thought you were inflight management? h34r:
that obviously has changed going forward! The poster's moniker is DeltaDetroit, so I assumed that the position is a CSA in DTW. Delta had very few CSA's in DTW prior to the NWA merger.
Therefore, that would be an NWA DTW job wearing a Delta uniform.
the same for InFlight to a degree, as some left when the negotiated buyout was made available when TA3 was ratified.. as well as the other buyout programs that were initiated afterwards.I spent some years working the gates in DTW (albeit as a Lead Tech). I have many friends who were NWA CSA's. I have a couple who still work there. Like I said, most left after the last IAM concessionary/bankruptcy contract.
I look forward to hearing from any NWA CSA that might still work in DTW about how they like the position. My 2 cents is just that.
I did not make that comment, but I do agree with the idea. as I personally feel attitude sometimes can help in any situation. You are correct in your post that any job is what you make it. Nobody is forcing anyone to take that job.
