KIOSH CONTRACT

Considering the amount of money US has spent on repairs since the reservation migration (and lost revenue from customers who don't come back), you would think EDS is paying US Airways to use SHARES. There is no way Sabre could have been that expensive.

Criminy, even the cheapie Southwest Airlines is signing on with Galileo, a legacy airline reservation system, to complement its home-grown system.

That has always been our argument with these people. I feel like I'm dealing with children with this management. NO...I'M DOING IT MY WAY, YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME!

And you've been acting differently?
Actually, we here on the east and I am sure some on the west do have a vested interest in this company, but unless these people start to listen to us who have been in the game for a long time, like I said before, I give it 2 years. We have been in the game for a long time as opposed to the revolving door at HP. I'm not being disrespectful to you, but they are just the fact, really.

Looks like there will be some replacement computers for the KIOSK... coming in MID JUNE

Wouldn't it just be easier and cheaper to put a personal computer inside each "old" kiosk that goes to www.usairways.com? Never understood why you need "special" hardware and software to do check in at the airport, when at home you do it via the internet and a simple web browser.

Actually that is all a KIOSH is....a PC with a TOUCH SCREEN. Open up the front door and you will find a PC, Keyboard, mouse and the PRINTER....

So then why didn't they work after the change to SHARES? Hmmmmm - seems pretty basic to me.

Because Sahres screwed them up. The Older USeast IBM machines were far superior in their abilities compared to the HP kiosks. The east kiosks could handle the dumbing down they were expected to do and crashed. Just more poor planning from the sand castle.

because you can't print a bag tag at www.usairways.com
