I was just reading in Airliners.net a thread about AA new livery and jet rash. The person was commenting on how our new livery VS the old, They had posted a pic of a 737 and said "you can clearly see it". all I saw was the grey appeared to be blue.

So what exactly is Jet Rash?

Ramp rash? The little dents and scratches that appear in the paint over time, caused by tugs and belt loaders and jetways? I've never heard it called jet rash before, tho

thanks, I was thing it was all the dings and dents, but the picture shown look like Air Canada blue.

There's jetbridge rash, also sometimes called a halo... dirt on the edge of the jetbridge canopy will rub against the aircraft, and eventually wear down the paint finish around the primary entry doors. It's less visible on the polished aircraft than it is on painted aircraft.

This was a fairly obvious problem with the former US dark blue.  It's not as obvious with the current white paint.
