Can ANYONE tell me what is going on with MAA? I almost made the cut for the March 1st training class, but I do know some people in that class..and they do not seem to wanna contact me in any way, shape or form..........hmmmmm.....are they swore to secrecy...could someone please tell me what is going on? I would like to know how long the training class is and when will they be forming the next class? Thanks!!!!!

I'm curious too... I'm wondering when the next notofication letters go out and when the next class will be. Will they be every month? Two a month? How many people in each class?

I'm also wondering if this first class is done or still in training. If they're done, what do they do until April? Are they gettiing paid?

There really doesnt seem to be much info available.

I did hear one thing..not sure how true it is...but...there may be a March 15th class. It is not that far off..and I havnt received anything yet for it..so this just may be rumor.

F/A class Nov. '99..received MAA packet today with a 3/15 class. Nice of them to give advance notice.

:huh: Really? I thought the current class goes up to Jan 00? Is that for the people who passed on the first round?

This is all very confusing. So does this mean if people didn't get one in the mail today, they'll get one on Mon the 8th, a weeks notice?

Why can't MidAtlantic start up a website with all of this info? Or maybe that the AFA's department?

Talked to someone else and they said they haven't heard from anyone in training either... its all very odd. Its like they are in training in the Bermuda Triangle or something!

The first class of 30 will finish on March 10. I believe it was a 5 day training counting transitional training and requal. The next class of 48 starts March 15. Those of you who are waiting to be contacted...will very soon. They are going through the list quickly. Mini evacuations will commence later in the month. Presently, some of the f/as from the first class went home for the weekend.

MAA negotiating committee was in caucus this week, and next week, 11,12, will be in DCA writing counter proposals. Then they will meet again with the company negotiators from March 22-15 in CCY.

The PIT AFA Pres will meet the first class who will graduate, on Monday the 9. Only 10 minutes was alloted. She will need everyones contact numbers and E-mail address to exchange information. Also, besides the PIT Pres, there will be a designated person who will focus on educating the f/as on sections of their contract that has to do with benefits and scheduling issues. That person's name will be furnished with their phone number to have direct contact and access. This is still a small group, and you can get educated on a personal basis and become real familiar with the agreements.

MAA negotiation agreement is not even nearly at the half way mark.

Just heard from a friend of mine that was in Class today...

Seems while she was in class someone that does the mailings went out to Mail more letters .....


Next class will be March 15th and then probably the end of the month then continues on from there............
