Is Airline Industry Demand Rebounding?

Prudential Equity said it remains bullish on the airline industry's prospects, after viewing recent presentations at a conference by American Airlines parent company AMR (nyse: AMR - news - people ),Southwest Airlines (nyse: LUV - news - people ), JetBlue (nasdaq: JBLU - news - people ) and Delta Air Lines (nyse: DAL - news - people ). The research firm said it believes that "a demand recovery remains underappreciated, and fuel risks appear to be fully discounted." Prudential said the presentations did not provide it with any reason to change its ratings for the four carriers, reiterating "overweight" ratings for AMR and Southwest, as well as a "neutral" rating for Delta and an "underweight" rating for JetBlue.
