following is an e mail from GT davis that he sent to the NMB read it and the reply from the NMB this is criminal we need to ask for David Bourns resignation. They lied to us to force us to vote yes on the TA.
My fellow Mechanics and Related, per the ibt they submitted a letter to the NMB requesting we go to mediation to negotiate as a standalone carrier, (UAL) and not an amalgamated negotiations. As the ibt dressed this as something the NMB could dictate to us we have waited for their decision. About a month ago the ibt Airline Division Director, “Captain David Bourne” announced at the SFO quarterly meeting that we should receive a decision from the NMB any day. After a couple of weeks I grew restless waiting and decided to write the NMB myself and seek out a possible decision. Below is the NMB’s response to my question. Both emails, mine to the NMB and their response are below. Again, the ibt has created a questionable situation that makes us question their credibility. In short, the NMB states that it is the IBT who determines whether we negotiate as a standalone carrier (UAL) or an amalgamated negotiations. So now we shall wait and see what the ibt’s response will be.

Subject: Davis - Single UAL-CAl Agreement
Mr. Davis:
Since both the Continental and United Mechanics are represented by the IBT, it is up to the IBT to move forward to negotiate a single agreement with the carrier. The NMB doesn’t make that decision.

I am a United Airlines Mechanic and we are interested if the NMB made a decision to whether the company and our union the IBT will be negotiating an amalgamated contract for the Continental and UAL Mechanics and Related or negotiating a single contract for the UAL Mechanics and Related only. Thank you for your attention.
