We have seen the Highlight sheet

What if anything did you guys have to give up to AA's new MGMT team?

Did you keep holiday pay? 2X

What about Holidays?

What about vacation?

Is the IAM going to have to give up it's Pension for a match type 401k?

If anyone has the particular on this T/A can you post them for all to see?

AMFA  for FSA  the pension increase    (I have yet to see the M&R)   after 24 yrs of service a 5th week added,   1500 signing bonus for FT   PT its 750

Maybe I'm just being naïve, but if the company is willing to pay you $1500 just to agree to the TA, doesn't that indicate that there is something (or several somethings) in the TA that you ain't gonna like?

that cld very well be Jim but remember this is the Sect 6 TA  I have never voiced which way I will vote and wont til I see the language that's written.   The devil is in the details..   Scope is improved.. but again the devil is in the details

From what I have read, every single article on this is claiming that the IAM nego cmte is overwhelmingly recommending a yes vote and overwhelmingly agreed to it.  Let's see how the actual membership likes it...

If it were me, just based on the highlight sheet I'd be a no vote. The highlight sheet is supposed to be the thing to get people excited, and from what I see it's done anything but that.

To The TWU/IAM Clowns,

I haven't been on here in a while.  But simply said, this contract is pathetic.  How in the world does a group of US Air Mechanics end up with TWU's negotiated American Airlines bankruptcy contract?  Furthermore, It still places them last in the industry in take home pay.  We will still have a higher premium after our september 12, 2014 increase.

that is true swamt  the pension  there is a 10 cent increase in it and bringing AA folks into it    the company already knows the union will ask for more when the JCBA comes up

though this is just sect 6 ta  the base pay top rate upon DOS goes up 9.53%

dos 3% increase base rate for all other steps  then effective 09/12/14 additional 2.1%

also the pension increase of 10 cent plus the adding of AA folks

I do think the bonus should of been a hell of a lot higher considering all that we have given up over the last 13 plus minus yrs  we shall see what happens

I wasn't referring to the fleet TA. I haven't really looked though your highlight sheet- although not having retro would have me leaning heavily towards no.
I was referring to the MX TA, which I would vote down in a heartbeat. Even if they were to get 6% on DOS, they're still one of the lowest paid while the company had enjoyed record profits. To me both MX and fleet TAs leave a lot to be desired.

US Air AMT's,

Just use your heads,  Why would Doug Parker and the AA management team settle on an amalgamated deal betwixt and between the TWU and the IAM before 2017.
First, they would have us both at 1.5% for 2016 and 2017.  Let's say you run a business wouldn't 1.5% be bargain base increase for two years.  Meanwhile, American Airlines would be making Billions with no bonus claus for either TWU and or IAM members.  Second, this will ensure that the 2015 industry average adjustment for both AA and US Air AMTs will be at the bottom of the industry because your pay will pull every mechanic to the bottom of the pact.  However, the pilots and Flight attendants will be enjoying their top of the industry rates.  Third, you have to ask yourselves, why continue to submit to your Masters, "The IAM/TWU Association group".  Why? These guys are pure dues players.  I would venture to say that the ramp team has a far better contract than the Aircraft Mechanics.  Additionally, look who the IAM negotiated bonus's for, the ramp.  Lastly, do not accept mediocrity, VOTE This Garbage Down or you will suffer for the rest of your time at AA.  Familiarized yourselves with what the TWU has down to us, IT Will Get worst.  Start the grass roots effort now and fight this tyranny.

AMFA NOW More Than Ever

Maybe some of you should wait and discuss CBA TA after its released. I've already seen a lot of misinformation being spread around. However I can calculate my pay to jump 10.45% by Sept 2014. So far that is nothing to sneeze at given the previous BK's and #5 Carrier song and dance from Management. Doug Parker at recent meetings has assured all parties that they will be the highest paid in the industry once the merger has been completed. This company doesn't have 10 Billion in the bank because they are loose with the purse strings. There is a whole different airline mentality that has emerged since the rise in jet fuel prices. Another war and we could be all heading back in the other direction again. Take for what it's worth but there has to be an overall strategy in place between the IAM/TWU to work towards a Combined Transition Agreement that benefits all. AMFA or even the failed IBT challenges aren't/weren't going to make any difference in the eventual outcome except the cushy jobs for the promoters of change !
