It''s been a while, and I almost forgot about it until I noticed for the first time that A/C 654 was no longer sitting by the hangar in PHL. This, I believe, was the catastrophically damaged 767 that was written off and sold for scrap. Did it get disassembled and carted out? And, if so when and to whom?
Is it true that it was ruled unairworthy and the buyer was also not allowed to repair it to make it airworthy. Not that they would due to the overwhelming damage costs.
