Helicopters battle big blaze near Arthurs Pass (The New Zealand Herald)

Four helicopters are fighting a fire on DoC land near Arthurs Pass. The fire, reported to DoC shortly before 2pm, has broken out near Mt White. Inspector Warren Kemp said the road between Flock Hill and Bealey Hotel on State Highway 73 has been closed.
