Can anyone out there tell of any service that is worse than our service to Hawaii.Flt. 432 was delayed 11 hours tonight before cancelling.It seems that the 757's on the west coast are junk and there are air turnbacks or diversions daily.I pity the poor gate agents in PHX and the islands.I see know why it has been called America Worst !

It's to be expected when you send Chitty Chitty Bang Bang over the Pacific. The whole Hawaiian operation is a joke compared to the competition. FACT! ! ! !

Hmmm lets see, ATA flew NEWER 757's and Aloha flew 737-700's and all of those other airlines regardless of their performance fly MUCH better a/c than US does to Hawaii. Again it's Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It's like starting an old car in the morning when it's freezing. Will she start.....chiga, chiga, chiga, chiga brrrrrrrrrrrrr ding.....vrrrrrrroooooooommmmmm. The planes are JUNK. FACT. 
Serious question. Are these totals for the month for all flights, or just the flights that operated? How many Hawaii flights canx for the month? Are maint numbers included? What about the cities other than HNL? I know there isnt a lot of leeway in ops to the islands. Not a lot of spares so if it breaks, you arent going anywhere anytime soon.

Amazing! First this thread starts out with an exaggeration of the facts. Then, when presented with the actual stats on OTP these are completely ignored and the bashing of the operation continues. :huh:
Continuing on, there is no thought given to the fact that our Hawaiian operation continues even though our contracted handler's employees are no showing, quitting with no warning and potentially stranding our passengers. In the face of this, US has stepped up, temporarily deployed employees to each of the islands and taken care of not only our passengers, but those left stranded by Aloha and ATA. Yes, US does things I may not agree with some times, but give credit where credit is due. There are a lot of people working extremely hard on the Hawaiian service. If you have a beef with the 757s, don't take it out on your fellow employees who are working hard.
Be specific in your criticism. Rather than continually bitching, how about a few legitimate, realistic suggestions on how things can be improved. You know what our fleet consists of - do you think someone has newer spare aircraft in their garage? :unsure: Things cannot be changed in the blink of an eye.
I am sorry to vent, but this board just seems to be one negative after another. All the negativity that is the norm on this board is now added to the rumors and speculation regarding whether we will merge, who will stay, who will go, what cities/hubs survive and who goes away. Why do we not just stick to what we really know rather than speculate. This is not a game. It is peoples' livelihoods.

They be better off abandoning Hawaii, till they can get east's 767's that can make the route. Boeing still makes the 767-200's, or step up to the 300.
Or is US waiting for the "New Advanced" A-321's for the route? Gonna have to build that runway in PHX as long as LAS so the plane has a chance of making it to the Pacific Ocean. 😱
