Both those you cite have deep seeded mental issues which brings us back to the dilemma of how do we limit people of that nature from purchasing firearms? And beyond that, accessing them at all?
The foundation has been laid, in the ACA. Next time you are discussing your health concerns with your Doctor, if you've had a serious medical issue or injury (God forbid) when they do their interview, if they ask if you're depressed......and you own firearms, I'd think out my response very very carefully. You do know its patient/doctor/government confidentiality now. Everything you say that they type goes right into your digital medical record forever. See how VA been messing with PTSD Vets and guns?

Coincidentally there's another liberal "ban all that things" law that went as predicted. Well known gun grabber Diane Fienstein spearheaded the law that restricted purchases of various allergy medications over the counter, Sudafed, etc.
And yet years later the law has had zero effect in reducing meth manufacturing, In fact just the opposite had happen.

So when they say imposing more restrictions on firearms will stop bad people from doing bad things....
History proves otherwise.
