Girl Scouts

I'm not even going to comment on the MTC cancellation and related charges other then to suggest you drag them into Small Claims Court just to let them know you won't be bullied by the typical airline arrogance.
That's what I thought as I read that.....they should not be allowed to get away with that. I'd fight it all the way.

One of my partners had rebook a MHT-PHL flight (same day, earlier time). They charged him $100 change fee plus and additional $300-plus to confirm the change. The flight canceled due to mechanical issues and they wouldn't refund the change fee--he ended up on the same flight he was on originally. They said, well, that's the risk you run when you change your flight. They will never learn.

Maybe agents should learn how to void in Qik/Shares.

In Sabre, my agent would have simply did "WV3" (assuming tkt line 3 was the chg fee) and said "I'm sorry about that sir, we appreciate your business, and your ticket is now valid on your original flight.."

I remember we had this same scenario at my airport... my poor agent couldn't void it as PITRR did it (back when we HAD Pit res). I was able to contact the Res Coordinator at PIT and the agent gladly voided the transaction and even *upgraded* the customer to First for the inconvenience.

::: sigh :::

How I miss the days of USAirways :(

Betty or Floyd, get me a drink, and can I please have my own mini?!
