FYI: CNBC repeating "Inside American Airlines"

The Con Artist in Tulsa are so damn proud of the CNBC farce, they are actually making DVD copies to hand out to everyone. Do they really think we didn't watch to see what was to be broadcast about our livelyhood?

This whole charade was likely initiated by one of the hired PR firms, and was not really an open door to AA but more like a limited opening designed for a specific outcome.

We see the same thing with local Tulsa communications.

When the tank plate covers grounded MD-80 due to paint problems, the spin machine in is full force. Got to hand it to them though, they sure can blow the smoke, even when a near disaster has taken place.

The thing is, no employee has come forward with the dirty facts out of fear of loss of job or other form of retaliation.

Ronald should take into consideration that even on these bulletin boards, the "facts" may not be posted, as anyone with even half a brain knows the Corporate Police are watching and waiting make an example out of someone. Meanwhile, he seems to think that reading the internet and absorbing what is posted is somehow going to enlighten him with information to move mountains.

I know alot of things about AA that would get me fired if I started firing them off on a public bulletin board. I choose to keep them close to my vest as my own security blanket.

I can hardly wait for the next TWU negotiations. The new t-shirts, the new slogans, the concessions, the inconsistent ratification procedures, the brochures of fear, the union meetings where dissidents are called out of order, the local newspapers pumping the Corporate Fear...

...Now that will be the Exciting Times that we have come to know.

Ronald, if are really the Human Sponge you claim to be, call the TWU International Headquarters in New York.

Ask for Publications

Then request copies of the International Conventions Minutes of 1989, 1993, 1997, 2001, and 2005.

Read through those and get back with us about your opinions of the Transport Workers Union of America.

Get a copy of "Intransit" by Joshua Freeman and read about the founding of this Bus Drivers Union in 1934 and consider why Aircraft Mechanics would continue to represented by a Bus Drivers Union.

Dig around on some legal websites and read some info:

In other words, if you want some facts, get away from internet garbage and read some of the old fashion truth.

So, you're saying that what you published on your own website isn't factual or believable?

Anything I publish is factual and honest. However, you arrived at some bad conclusions. I have more than just a high school education. Your response to MCI was in poor taste and you know it.

Hmm. Here's exactly what I said to you:

Honestly, I don't know that they're going to be all that receptive to a podcast/blog interview unless you're with an accredited print or broadcast media outlet. Even well established analysts like Holly Hegeman can't get much out of them, and she's a former consultant to AA CorpComm.

No, this isn't what I'm referring to. If I hadn't deleted the nonsense you sent me, I'd be happy to quote it. Allow me to jog your memory (paraphasing):

1. "I have socks older than you"
2. "Southwest grants interviews to everyone" (This was an obvious jab at a competitor ... as you discredited my securing an interview with them)
3. "Arpey isn't going to appear on a podcast"
4. Etc.

Finally, I never implied that the documentary was perfect or accurate compared to the internal knowledge of employees. I even know better than that, but as I've already stated, most people aren't aware but at least they have SOME idea of what YOU GUYS face in the INDUSTRY. Personally, I found the coverage of the massive amount of cargo moves annually as intriguing. I didn't know that prior to the documentary.

This is silly, WW.

Do Not Feed the Trolls.

This thread is crumbling ...

I am not here to move mountains, TWU. I am here to learn and I have been. If I could spend the next year learning about your jobs and what you do, I would. I'd love to spend some time at the Tulsa and MCI maintenance facilities. I'd thoroughly enjoy watching all that you guys do and seeing the final product. I'm just a geek in that way.

The more I think about this stuff, I feel more inclined to make it happen. So, should I ever visit, I'd like to meet some of you.

My dad is ex-vietnam. RIP. We do live in a great country, but we cannot continue moving forward with an outdated foundation. Essentially, this means redoing a lot of things, because otherwise, we'll be faced with a collapse at some point.

What is it that you do, MCI?
 ---- What do I do?---- Hummm? As a Viet Nam vet myself, with approx. 35+ years Aircraft experiance, I guess you could say I work on Airplanes!!!!----First military, than TWA, now aa! But then again, that discribes a lot of people here at MCI!!!! We even have a few with 50+ years!!! And a lot with 40!

I don't post on this forum very often, although I frequently visit it. I have really enjoyed reading your posts over the last few days. It makes a change to have an outside positive opinion other than the usual cynical AA employee view.

Keep it coming my friend...

Ronald, while I don't recall saying that I have socks older than you, it is a verifiable fact that I have boots older than you.

It is also a fact that Arpey won't be wasting his time appearing on a blogger's podcast. The interview with CNBC was one of just a handful I can think of that he's granted since becoming CEO.

Your PM's to me in March specifically asked me for an alternate contact in CorpComm since Tim Smith had blown you off. If you want to take it as a personal insult that that CEO's of Fortune 500 companies won't give bloggers and podcasters face time, that's your issue to deal with.

You think this thread is crumbling? It's not the thread that is crumbling. It's your rose colored glasses being crushed by harsh reality.

Enjoy your youthful optimism to be able to change the world while you still can. Before you know it, you'll be voting Republican.

Optimism is the reason for my success in life to date. And yes, I do believe I'll one day make a great impact on humanity. I never think small.

I'm an Independent.

That would mean 'Yes'.

Does that mean that you have a college degree?
