I don't know if this has been brought up before or not, sorry if it has. Does anyone know why the flight status of those the took the early out have changed from D2 to D2P? I remember reading that we would still have D2 status after taking the early out. If anyone has a copy of that letter/package offer that would be great too. I had it on my flash drive but that took a chit so it's gone. Thanks

I wasnt aware that they changed it, D2P is usually for parents...

Yeah I know. BS they changed it when we were supposed to keep D2 status for 24 months of flight bennies that came with the early out package. Still looking for the early out or stand and stead package that was put out there on jetnet. Anyway anyone can look and see if its still jetnet? I don't have full access anymore. Just enough to check flights.

Found it--don't shoot the messenger. 😛h34r:

TRAVEL CLASSIFICATION

For the first 90 days of your travel period, you and your eligible family members will travel at the D2 boarding priority (D2P

for parents traveling without you).

After 90 days, you and your eligible family members will travel at the D2P boarding priority for the remainder of your travel

period. The D2 travel classification will be eliminated from your Traveler Information after the 90th day for you, your

spouse or DP or RC and your dependent children. Although the D2 travel classification will remain in your Traveler

Information for your parents, they will only be eligible to travel at the D2P priority after the first 90 days.

**NOTE: If you or one of your eligible travelers begins a trip prior to the 90th day and continues after the 90th day, it is very

important to create two separate flight listings – the first one to reflect D2 in the ticketing field prior to the 90th day and

the other one to reflect D2P after the 90th day. If you do not have the correct travel classification in your flight listing,

Jetnet Check-in, airport agents and Self-Service devices will be unable to check you in for the flight.

Bang! j/k Sad thing is, that doesn't even match up to what was offered at the time I took the package. What was the date on that? I left as soon as they started letting people go. I was in the first group.

Yep, the one they first had up there on jetnet read nothing like that. Guess it's just one more thing AA lied about. I guess now that its a D2P we have to pay for flights now too? Wouldn't surprise me if we do. The more and more I read about what's going on there company and union wise, it just reassures me that I did the right thing. Good luck to all my friends. Hope it turns out for the best.

I took the early out package and mine listing is D2 or D1...

You probably need to contact HR.

Pass Travel Privileges for Retirees

If you meet the eligibility requirements for retiree travel, you, your legal spouse or Company-recognized Domestic Partner (DP), and dependent children continue to be eligible for unlimited D2 travel on the AMR Network.

Retirees are eligible for four (4) one-way D1 passes per calendar year.

If you meet the eligibility requirements for retiree travel, and you are not married or do not have a Company-recognized DP, you are eligible to register a companion traveler. See Registered Companion Program.

In addition, you will continue to receive an annual pass bank of 24 one-way passes. You can give all 24 one-way passes to your parents, Registered Companion (RC), non-dependent children, guests, or any combination you choose.

It is your responsibility to keep a record of the number of guest trips used in a calendar year so you know exactly how many you have remaining each year.

Question...How many registered guests (not companion) are we allowed to have?

That is for retiree travel. Not all early outs retired.
