Thank u very much Airdude. Your informations were very helpful! :D
I tried calling the recruiting office many times today but the line was always busy. I wanted to ask them if its possible to schedule the interview even tho im not 21 yrs old yet but will soon turn 21 around the end of next month. On top of that I will need to kno how much time they will they give me from the time of the interview(if i do get picked) till the training class starts! Also do u kno how many training classes will they have?(anything in October?)....

thanks again for ur precious answers

You dont have to be 21 now,but when you attend the training class you will need to be 21 at that moment.

The final interview should be conducted in Houston,I dont think it is going to be in Newark.IF....the final interview is in Newark, they will let u kow that you are picked on the same day.BUT...if the final interview is in Houston, you will need to come back on the other day to go to Houston just for the final interview. That will be the place where you know the answer.

Usually, the next class they offer you is two weeks from the day of the final interview just for you to resign from your job. They wont ask you to just quit and go.

If the company is planning to hire another 500 people, then there should be approximately 13-15 classes depending on the number of people in each class.

Just keep calling the number and call as early as you can.If their business hour is 9am-5pm,then you start calling before 9am.

Any question,please let me know.

As a way to get ahead of the crowd in finding a place to live in Newark/NYC area...
There is a great website that I used to find a place in Chicago before I even started training at AA (then I got assigned to DFW, but it's still a good website).

Hey ya'll.... All my interview's were done in EWR. I start training with CO next month. I am so excited. Anyone know of what to expect in training or any reasonable priced crash pads in EWR?

There is always crashpad in Hallmark building which is located in 10 Hill St.
This building has alot of flight crews and they provide free shuttle to and from the airport.Normally 4 people in a room and approximately $225-250 a person.

Distance is about 15min in between.Very convenient.

Congratulations and look forward to see you in EWR and welcome to the family.

Hello..
Normally it should be between 30-35 people because the room is not that big to hold the big group.

Congratulations to you too.

Most of my friends live in Hallmark building. If you want to talk about other crashpads, there are always postings in the crew room.Since I live on my own, therefore I dont really pay attention on the crashpads.

I dont say that I am the only one that posts on this site but maybe I am the only one working for continental on this site.
I am based in EWR as the language speaker.

Hi Boriqua!Congratulations for ur training! I'd like to ask u some questions about the interview u went thru!Cuz i'm lookin forward to be interviewed very soon!So did u do all the interviews in one day?did they let u kno u passed rite away?(this is very important for me becuz i live in Italy n i will have to come all the way to NJ jus for the interview and i need to kno how many days it takes to do everything ) How many people were there? how many people passed?N what did they make u do?...I'd appreciate if u can answer me back and I thank u very much

Hey whats up Volare, Lets see if i can get all your questions in, if I missed one just write back to me. First you meet out in the terminal and they will escort you in. make sure you have a valid passport, receit for one in process or what ever paper work you may need to travel in and out of and work in the US since you are from Italy on hand. This is the very first thing they check. Then they escort you to their traning center in the ramp area. They make their presentation, then they split you up for a group dynamic. When they do this follow their instuctions, and be very proactive and participate, this is very important.it give you a little push for when they interview you. Remember they are wacthing you at all times so just be nice, and be yourself. DOn't act a fool nor be a clown, since the only people looking for clwns is the circus.

After that comes the interviews. At least for me they did all three the same day and gave me a training date, that may vary. But if you pass each interview they'll tell you when is the next one, either that same day or at a future date on the spot. If they tell you they will get back to you in 3 or 4 days by e-mail most likely you are not going to be considered. Like I said before, be your self, be confident and just shine. Just remember the main aspect of the job is safety and customer service, not the fact that you were a flight attendant or that it is your dream nor that you like to fly. Just keep that in mind and you will do good.

When is your interview?? PM me if you need any more help. If not I wish the best for you and the best of luck.

Thanks alot AirDude

Congratulations to you and look forward to see u in the crew room.

Try the Robert Treat Hotel. They offer 24 hour van service to EWR. Be prepared to spend no less then $225 per month. That $225 will probably be a "hot bed." Try looking in Hoboken, NJ as well.

If you don't mind taking the subway and bus, you might find something at the $225 mark over near LGA. This would probably be your own bed. If you did that, then take the "E" train to NY Penn Station and hop on the NJ Transit train to the EWR stop. Then take the Air Train directly to the terminal.

Try looking here for a crashpad: Airline Crew Member Crashpads

The EWR Crew room always has places looking for new crash-pad room-mates. There are a ton of places in the Ironbound section of EWR that are really close to the airport and its a nicer neighborhood than Newark. The Rennaissance Towers is a much much nicer building than the Hallmark House and I know there are at least 4-5 crashpads there.LGA is not really a viable option for anyone on reserve as CAL only gives you 2 hrs to report when on quick call. Hope this helps

Thank u soo much Boriqua, i rele appreciated!I do have some more questions if u don't mind answering;like what r the 3 interviews about?how many people r there?and how many people usually get picked?...thank u again

A buisness suit is a MUST.. And it should be dark in color, black, navy, charcoal grey etc...
It's a professional job and they are being VERY selective because they are the only Major Airline hiring at this time. And they have an overwhelming amount of applicants.

There were 22 of us at my interview and I think 6 of us got offered a spot in training classes.
Im sure the amount offered a spot in class depends on how the interviews go.

If I can be of any help please feel free to a send PM
