Dog is correct. Trump did the opposite of Fauci advice, in fact, he was ready to fire him.
Lead by example, Trump rallies made fun of people whom wore masks and social distance.

Have you ever been in a situation where you weren't sure of something and made a decision...only to find that the decision you made wasn't the best? Did you press on regardless because you didn't want to be viewed as "weak" or a "flip flopper" because you had the audacity to change your view? Trump never waivers once a decision is made..he presses on. Indeed - he doubles down. Should his view fail, he turns to the thing that all great men do in tough times - blame.

There are currently 281 studies, including 209 peer-reviewed studies (as of April 17, 2021) showing that hydroxychloroquine is highly effective for treating both early and late stage COVID patients. The drug is also very cheap to manufacture.

The study “found that the use of a regimen containing hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine (with or without a macrolide) was associated with no evidence of benefit, but instead was associated with an increase in the risk of ventricular arrhythmias and a greater hazard for in-hospital death with COVID-19.
