I just checked AirTran's website for flights from CLT to RSW and BOS for every day between 19APR and 26APR. It wasn't that the lowest fares were not available, according to the website there were no seats available to either destination for 7 straight days. I have my doubts that every seat on every flight sold that quickly.

Your doubts would be correct, but I suspect the reason for this is that AirTran doesn't begin service to CLT until May 4...

That's because AirTran doesn't start flying to CLT until May 4.
