faux news

I'm sure a chunk of MSNBC's ratings come from conservative watchers as well. Everyone likes to see how the other half lives, I 'spose...

Again, was anyone disputing the idea that Fox has a large viewership?

I'll admit to that. I'll watch FOX occasionally. I can only do the news shows. If I am channel surfing and hit any of the opinion BS. I keep going. They are too nuts for me.

Not me.  I don't even watch the football games on Fox.  When the Greeks invented democracy, they assumed an educated electorate--voters capable of thinking for themselves.  The higher percentage of Fox viewers demonstrates clearly that is not the case in the United States and is one of the things that makes me a Divine Right Royalist.

We should be ruled by a Divine Right monarch.  There is one person in charge.  He or she rules by the Grace of God.  He or she makes all the decisions.  If he or she screws up, you chop off their head and get their cousin from Germany as a replacement.  Worked beautifully in Great Britain for centuries.

No, that is not correct.  Parliament got the upper hand on one of the weak-kneed Georges and democratic procedures broke out.  Slowly but surely Great Britain and its empire went down the tubes.  Great Britain (England, Scotland, and Wales) is within 100 square miles of being exactly the same size as the state of Alabama.  Think about the fact that at the time Queen Victoria ascended the throne in 1837, a country the size of Alabama ruled most of the known world.  Now, what's left.  Practically nothing.

Thanks to the socialist rot that infected GB in the early 1900's, they simply traded their cajones for political correctness.

Sound familiar?

I guess it depends on ones vantage point. Giving up the monarchy may have shrunk the empire but it worked out better for the commoners in the long run.

But I thought all you Fox News supporters didn't much care for the common folk.  You all seem to like the idea that multi-millionaires and billionaires have ways of avoiding paying any taxes at all, but poor people are poor because they choose to be.

Seriously?

Correlation is not equal to causation

Ever read any history?

Mainstream media, and with the aforementioned ratings nothing is more mainstream than Fox "Entertainment and Information Network", has been proven to be a remarkably poor place to get an education.

Regular Fox News viewers demonstrate less understanding of current affairs than people who don't watch any news at all.

Whether that is due to incompetence, or to malicious intent, you can decide
