The terminal at the Bartlesville Municipal Airport got a fresh new face just in time for the anticipated new arrivals moving to the city.

â€It really just needed to be updated, said Sarah Jech, construction coordinator with ConocoPhillips. “It hadn't been updated since the ‘40s or ‘50s.â€

Jech said a new conference room was added, along with new carpet, tile, lighting, furniture. They also revamped the snack area, which used to be just a cart, she said. Lobby space and restroom space was expanded.

“We had to bring in an outside architect but the interior design was done internally,†she said.

They added wireless Internet and Internet connection availability at computer stations along a window.

Mike Richardson, an employee with Global Aviation Services, said the improvements “were wonderful.â€

“They really utilized the space well,†he said.

“What's wonderful about that facility is that having an airport terminal of that quality in a small town is unprecedented,†said Charlie Ewers, manager, Global Aviation Services. “When guests arrive to visit or for business, they walk in and their first impression is very positive for the city.â€
