Legacy carriers. Do you mean the big players such as Delta, American, etc.......?

The carriers listed above are the ones Little Lorenzo compares "us" to.

This is from Yahoo Business for Luv.....2002

Pay Exercised
Herbert Kelleher, 71
Chairman $ 652.00K $ 13.94M
Colleen Barrett, 58

Gary Kelly, 47

Donna Conover, 49
Exec. VP - Customer Service N/A N/A

Dollar amounts are as of 31-Dec-02 and compensation values are for the last fiscal year ending on that date. "Pay" is salary, bonuses, etc. "Exercised" is the value of options exercised during the fiscal year.

Here you go PineyBob...

CAL Bethune, Gordon M. $1,750,338.00
DAL Mullin, Leo F. $2,207,353.00
NWA Anderson, Richard H. $821,638.00
UAL New CEO was not previously with the company so no 2002 UAL compensation
AMR Arpey, Gerard J. $580,000.00

Mr. Arpey was named Chief Executive Officer in April 2003. Previously, he was elected President and Chief Operating Officer of AMR and American in April 2002. He served as Executive Vice President - Operations of American from January 2000 to April 2002

Note that this is 2002 pay. AMR's Arpey was COO & VP-Ops in 2002 so his pay is undoubtedly higher now.

As you correctly pointed out in another thread a while back, Siegel's employment agreement stipulates that his compensation is tied to the "big 5" as listed above.

If anyone ask me... this is SICK.

It is very sad that the front line employees give give give, so that our leaders can laugh all the way to the bank. This $ucks.............

Piney,
I think that is the shortest post I have ever seen you make. You usually have words of wisdom to share!
If you notice, I didn't post salaries....I just posted a link and let anyone who wanted to type in the name of companies they wanted to compare. These are not numbers I or anyone working for US made up. (Bet ya typed in your companies name didn't ya? lol) Wish we could find a site where we could compare our salaries and work rules to other airlines.
When you work for a company that has come to you and said you have to agree to take major cuts...and you do...then they come again and again and again, then try to outsource your work, it really upsets ya to then see that your CEO is making the kind of cash Dave is making in comparrison to what other CEO's are making. What can we do? Nothing really except express our feelings. I have 35+ years in the airline industry. I remember Eastern, and could not for the life of me understand why they reached the place where they said "No more concessions! Shut it down if that is what it takes. They reached the place they had no respect for their leadership and financially they couldn't afford to give more. I don't trust Dave or anyone in US management. It's at the point I won't agree to give more. Now I understand Eastern employees. I now take the stand and say, "NO MORE!"

Bob,

dave doesn't compare our CASM's to the legacy carriers, does he? NOooooooooooooo, he's trying to use WN and JB CASM's to convince us to give again.

This is sauce for the gander.

And, we're calling BULLSH*T!

THE CONCESSION STAND IS CLOSED.

This attitude contributed to your long slide during the 90's. You guys rode the gravy train, the pax paid whatever you demanded and together you arrived at -- today's mess.

Exactly where do you suppose the revenue for pay raises will come from? Raise the fares? Hire a new CEO? Yeah, you may as well install your friendly union local leader 'cause ain't nobody else going to take the job.

Try to blame it on Siegel & Co and you'd be wrong. Doesn't matter why anymore.

Hope you enjoyed the ride cause it is slowing to a complete stop. Yes, now I understand how Eastern's unions felt in the last days of that great airline.

Actually I have been around since mid 98 and have not seen anything done right
with this incompetent mgmt team. I was wondering if you are part of that team?
But the fares have to be fixed. That is the main root. And a Brand spanking new mgmt team is needed and one who is LABOR FRIENDLY. Not one who loves to steal our ( the enmployees) money. I have been in the airline world for a very long time. Why do you think Southeast is killing us at ABE and Airtran and Delta are killing us at PHL? Stop and think about it. No one wants to ride a 50 seat piece of crap from PHL to ATL when the competitors are beating us to it with the mainline jets. We had a mainline jet from ABE to CLT that was full just about daily and they yanked it with a 50 seat that is now worse with people and bags left
behind!
