BB, you are on the right track, although if you check in for a flight and then no show, the reat of your trip would cancel out. I assume that the " buddy" ne uses to check in is for a west flight and he is east. we as westies can web check-in through our compass site. so if you are an eastie trying to get checked in on a west flight you will have to do it at the airport, that is until the whole issue is resolved.
The company said that they are looking at expanding the check in window to 12 hours.....
