Hey East Flight Attendants,

Did you know that the West flight attendants have the option to pay their union dues in advance and receive a 10% discount? Of course you didn't because our MEC does not keep us informed. Check out the west AFA website and you will see what i'm talking about- www.afa66.org. Their website hotlines are updated almost every day. Even when our MEC tells us there is no news to report on current contract negotiations, the West MEC has information to report. Now how is that? I thought both sides were negotiating for one contract. If the west has information to report then the east should too. BTW, I checked out the United airlines AFA site to see if they were getting a discount on their union dues also, and sure enough they are. So I ask again, why is it that our MEC has not shared this information with us???? At $40.00 a month, that is a savings of almost $50.00 per year. Are you reading this Mike Flores?? Why have you not told our membership about this?

Personnally, I think that all monies received from reserves should go into escgro.

Our sorry a$$ union has done nothing to help the reserves. Once they get off their fat azzes and represent the reserves, then and ONLY THEN shall they get that money.

Take that away and they will cry like babies.

What do you think? Will the union sell the reserve's soul to the devil in return for vacation/ sick time back?

I THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, back on topic....Thanks for the info

OH BIG DEAL...$50.00 per F/A. What you to cheap. $50.00 aint nothing to get your panties in a bunch.

BUT WAIT...$50.00 times 8208 F/a's is $32,832 dollars per month HUMMMM and $32,832 times 12 months in a year is $393,984 thousand per year. Now thats enough to get all our panties in a bunch.

FYI..If any of those MEC members anywhere get re-elected we deserve being f#$%'d over and over again. By company and union rep we are a pathetic group of people. Someone prove they were powerless to get this for us and not just greedy b+)$ard's.

sky high states: Help?...Suggestions?

You "had" passing rights, now why was that taken away, huh?
too many professional passers, passing into the dead zone or passing for trips that would never be available...huh?
Why did the company go after that, huh?

Also got into an argument with a LODO who lost her position in the system. She was pissed that you couldnt hold "her" ROME trips anymore. I said, "how many years do you have?" She said, "Five". Shhhh, I told her five years got you BUFFALO layovers in the winter, mainline back in the day. They reduced the number of LODO's, because it IMPACTED the LEAST AMOUNT OF PEOPLE....and gave the company a cost reduction.

only stating opinions.

Lets not forget folks that with the old reserve system of passing you were STILL obligated. It was not a case of flight attendants passing all month to receive a guarantee check and not work. You had to make up your time by the end of the month or you got a letter and were talking to your supervisor about why you passed all month and didn't break your guarantee. Oh how some loved the famous pass...."2day evening departure". Wasn't that it?
