which is it drippy the fuel or the membership that put you on the street? you said before it was the cost of fuel. since AMFA lost the election that would mean the MAJORITY being the twu members voted you to the street......yea thats right drippy sip on that koolaid some more

Let me take a stab at that one Drippy. The combination of your membership, the TWU, and fuel sent my brothers to the street. Would they have gone regardless since the TWU did not price the fuel, perhaps. They would have and should have gone in union seniority order.

You see, we're part of the "AA Family", but we're illegitimate to many of you.

BTW, AMFA did not have an election, they had a card drive.

first off there kremlin koolaid drinker im on agency fee status which prevents me from voting and i only pay dues to the communist union so i can remain employed as do a large majority of AMFA supporters so it was YOUR twu brothers who kicked you to the street not mine  call it what you will einstien AMFA lost by 27 votes which had the kompany and the kremlin not added DEAD people or RETIRED people or those without RECALL rights we would have won by a landslide. but hey not to worry because you guys will soon be history thanks to the TWU and we now have an accurate list thanks to the KREMLIN and KOMPANY  ..............AMFA IN 2005

So you've been on agency fee since TWA was acquired? AMFA lost by 27 cards not being signed, no one voted due to lack of cards being properly signed negating an election. You are so used to AMFA spinning the facts you are beginning to profess the same rhetoric, shame.

I don't buy the fuel BS and you shouldn't either. Fuel prices (adjusted for inflation) have been higher in the past and our salaries/benefits(adjusted for inflation) have also been higher, but the airlines made money. The problem is simply the refusal by our airline to raise prices despite having a 75% load factor and even high industry wide. They like to tell us that Jetblue will suck up our passengers if we raise fares but the truth is they are already at 85% load factor and even higher in competing markets. Look at the foreign airlines, they keep raising fares to adjust for fuel costs and are profitable. The bottom line is what I see is pure union-busting of our industry by greedy executives who have used the 9/11-bankruptcy excuse to bury our contract up our butts side ways.
ATA Survey

Good point, but it's not just our airline. None of the major players wish to raise prices, afraid of cut throats.

Thats right, because if we had an election "an election is ---- is a chance where the TWU would lose" Bobby Gless July 14, 2004

Well the reason we took all the seats out of our airplanes was so we could stand out amongst the majors and offer a better product at a premium price. The price was abandon before the first re-configured plane hit the skies. We will never have a sucessful airline when you have a management team who is afraid to follow through on something as simple as removing seats to charge more.

If you look at that ATA survey that I linked on the last post and go to page 15, professional services, it should explain where the money is going. I wonder what is considered professional services, country club memberships, limo service, etc.....Those numbers really start jumping when the era of greed kicks in after the B-scale was enacted.
