From this passenger's point of view, things are going remarkably well given the current state of affairs.

I've had only trivial delays getting off planes due (presumably) to short staffing.

No baggage problems even in PHL.

No sour faces/bad attitudes.

My thanks to all of the kind folks I've dealt with!

Just stay away from Philly and you will be OK. The new Philly station slogan has evolved from "We're not happy until you're not happy" to "We're Philly-we'd have to improve a lot to even suck!"

We have lost a lot of our regular's from the west here that travel east. Just because they can not tolerate going thru PHL anymore. One customer last night told me she has traveled east 4 times in the last 30 days, thru PHL, and has yet to have her luggage arrive with her. It wasn't there last night either when she arrived here. She said she's mailing her DM card to consumer affairs saying this is the last trip she'll ever take on US. I couldnt blame her. This company is shooting itself, it's now just a matter of days or months at the most, until it's gone forever.

Glad to hear you're having no problems. For the most part (exception of PHL) most things still seem to be ok. Even the employees lately seem like they have more pulling them together. You get your occasional problem child, but overall, everyone has something in common to talk about and b+tch about. :p

Regarding PHL. Why not go for broke (literally since we're there already). Hire some more agents to cover the shifts they say they are short. If thing dont improve, then take care of business. In the meantime, expecting agents to cover OT to make a schedule work isnt going to happen anymore. Lots of agents have had to take second jobs and just cant come to work or stay at the snap of a finger. It would be interesting to see what PHL would be like if they got the staffing and equipment they say they need.

To those who continue to fly us, thanks.
