i just watched airline and i saw that the agents were off to an employee party in oak on an aircraft carrier. they seemed to have an awesome time. do we have anything like this at airways? makes me kinda jealous.

No, we don't party like Southwest and I'm sure we don't deny boarding to an intoxicated passenger then not notify the police before he jumps in his car to kill someone on the highway. Way to go Southworst!!!

For all they knew, he came to the airport in a cab.

Somebody has option envy, apparently.

Etops, we used to be hip in our younger days. It's been so damn long I can't remember. CaptBud if you don't remember the Airways Hotel in BUF shame on you! I recall one heck of a toga party in the 80's which lasted for days because dozens of crews were stranded due to one heck of a blizzard.

Delldude, yes. BTW, what ever happened to US Air Night on Mondays at the Ground Round in Moon Township? The Hangar, Seashell Lounge? Where is Hartley and Leroy?

MOON P.D.

I remember plenty of non-company sponsored "parties" all around the US, Carribbean, and Europe.... :D B) Good times.

I'd guess that these days a US crew on a night out on a layover might consist of finding a Walgreens to get some Centrum Silver, watch a repeat of Murder She Wrote and tuck in for the night. Slam-click! Not that there's anything wrong with that. :)

Come to think of it, I've been to plenty of "flight attendant parties" of late where not a single person there is a flight attendant anymore... still fun, just as much shop talk ("Anyone hear anything about MidAtlantic?" "No, silly, you can still travel, just press MI!" "Can someone drop me off at the airport tomorrow? I wish I had a parking pass...") but no one is worried about a beeper. :D

I think Fredricks still has a USair night. When I lived in PIT (and drank at the Shell over the holiday season this year), I did not notice a USair night.

Light,

I've found that the quickest cure for the "slam-click" blues is to say "Where am I taking ya'll for dinner tonight?"

Works most of the time...

So, so true!!!!!!!!

CA: So what's everyones plans?

FO, A, B, C, D etc: Oh, hmm, haw, I dont know, probably watch TV, I have a friend here, Im tired...

CA: Oh, come on I havent gotten to treat a crew in a while?

ENTIRE CREW and incoming crew from another base: Lobby in fifteen sound good?

:p

But if after all that you get a "If I'm not there, go on without me" it means you'll see them in the morning.

Jim
