How can you trust this guy ?

The track record is not exactly the best...or even close to average , let alone good.

This leadership was given more tools than anyone can imagine in this business..and what has this netted us to date?

This leadership has also failed to take notice of something that is plain as the nose on your face (The LCC's) that have been surrounding U's east coast based route system for how many years now? Yet it doesn't become an issue until the biggest invaider (WN) parks in our own backyard for the second time.

This leadership has aligned itself with "Union Busting Thugs " like Jerry Glass as well. This man is here to hurt you the individual , pad his resume and then move on to the next place that's right to be plunderd.

This leadership is also not in control of what is taking place. We have a Non-Executive Chairman of the Board whom fires off his mouth about liquidating this company...and this inturn scares off passengers from advanced bookings with us.

How can anyone in their right mind feel good about giving up anything else to people like this? You better get what you can get now, prepare for the worst , and pray for a distinct change that needs to stem from the top downward.

depsite being an u employee in a mainline express station (or as I refer to it as expressed outsourced station) i am darn glad i dont fly u that much i prefer another airline!!!!!!

once a leader has lost respect he can no longer lead. he becomes ineffective. Even if Mr. Seigel is the right man for the job, he has long lost the trust of those below him thus nullifing his managment of the company.

example, a person after years of doing a job thinks he or she knows the best way to do it.... lets just say it is NOT... the boss comes in and says your doing it wrong, its your fault learn to do it right or i will cut more pay or jobs or whatever, now lets say that the boss REALLY does know the super duper way of doing this job. human nature indicates that the message will not transfer between the two.

Lead, Follow or get out of the way .....Lee Iaccoa (early 80s) Mr Siegel had done none of those.

But just like this .. Mr Seigel can still be CEO and not be the Leader of the Company ..... so too the company must undergo unique answers to come out on top which again is completly possible given the tools presented to it. One possible answer is a new PRESIDENT a new leader yet Mr Seigel could still retain CEOship.
The company by increasing use of current assets by one hour creates 14 million addtional ASMs which inturn lowers CSM. increase that 2hrs now your at 28million extra ASMs PER DAY. and guess what your CSMs drop to the low 8s. gee....

REMEMBER this it (the troubles of your company) are a MATH problem thus it can be solved.

I voted YES because at this moment he is the best person to lead this company. The Dave bashing must end for us to become a viable company. The unions allow their emotions to overcome their rational thinking. I have always been a supporter of this management team and will continue until I feel that they are no longer capable of operating this airline.
The dave bashing will end some time after the employee bashing ends.

And yes, it must begin with him - he's the leader.

Go ask the 552 F/As that Dave violated their contract.
GO ASK THOSE 552 F/A'S THAT WERE AFFECTED DUE TO DAVE VIOLATING THE CONTRACT LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!

GO ASK THOSE SAME 552 THAT ARE BEING AFFECTED AGAIN DO TO DAVE VIOLATING THE SAME CONTRACT AGAIN WITH NOT HONORING THE SECTION 19.2.G LANGUAGE. HOW MANY TIMES CAN THIS MAN BE SUED?.

SO, IN SHORT MY ANSWER WOULD BE A BIG DELETED BY MODERATOR

ANYONE THAT BACKS HIM MUST BE JUST LIKE HIM OR THOSE ON HERE THAT CLAIM THEY AREN'T MUST BE HIM.

DAVE TALKS ABOUT BAD PRESS LATELY, WELL UNCLE DAVE...THE MEDIA WILL BE CONTACTED AGAIN IF YOU VIOLATE THE CONTRACT AGAIN.

Perhaps Dave Lorenzo should try reaching out to employees and he and his hench men could try another approach.

I don't think it will happen so I am not holding my breath.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
Fool me three times? Then I'm such an idiot I shouldn't even be working here.

Question for Do it For Dave,

What has Dave done to earn the Trust of the Employees?

Because he is the CEO he gets Respect of the Title, However DAVE HAS DONE NOTHING FOR THE EMPLOYEES to prove he can be trusted. The things CO does to boost Morale and decrease sick time, Dave knew about, what has he done for the Employees except LIED and violated every contract?

So PLEASE explain how we can trust him, PLEASE?

I'm not an employee, so I'm not nearly as sensitive as most of you. I don't believe he deliberately lied. I believe he made promises, based on expected business conditions, and then had to break those promises when conditions changed.

He has done and will do WHATEVER is necessary to try to save the company.

I agree he pushed contract language to the breaking point, but that's what bosses do.

So as I said, I don't believe he deliberately lied. But would I trust him? I'm glad I don't have to make that decision.

Good luck to all.

robbedagin the company has to give this cities back to the IAM if the open the contract again the members should be able to get there jobs back even if they
are mainline express classification . What is the IAM doing now is there chance
to get these cities back when they open the contracts because you know they are going to open them up its only a matter of days.

jeebus these USair boards are downers! Don't any of yawl believe the sun will come out tomorrow??

This thread for example: just another variation of the hate mail for anything USair.
What value is gained from all this negativity?

I understand you people are frustrated. But to focus all the anger on Dave is not correct. He just happens to be the last captain of the ship.

For years and years USair had the highest employee costs.
