DL adds RDU-CDG using a 757

This is RDU's first transcontinental service to continental Europe and also includes additional seats to JFK; DL's service between NYC and RDU is high frequency.

Like PIT, another former other airline hub, DL is expanding service to meet the needs of the market.

DL has enhanced its partnership with the research and educational center of the Carolinas:

Delta is the largest airline at Raleigh-Durham International Airport with more than 60 daily departures, and the new flight is just one component of Delta's recent investments in the region. The Delta Sky Club at RDU now offers enhanced food options, premium drink offerings, Starbucks coffee and an automated, self-service espresso machine. In August, Delta launched an alliance with Duke University to embed the airline and its employees in campus and alumni events, academics and career recruiting and counseling, all in an effort to become a lifelong travel partner to future customers. Delta also enjoys an existing marketing agreement with University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.

as for JFK-TLV, DL will have more seats with the addition of the less than daily additional service than it had when the 744 operated the route on a daily basis.

Great news for Tel Aviv, RDU, and NYC.

RDU's first "transcontinental service to continental Europe" ... in about two decades.  AA previously flew RDU-ORY for several years.

Based on seats offered for current and future periods, DL's statement is indeed accurate.

and current schedules do not presently show the RDU-CDG flight which will increase the counts further.
