works for me, it is a pdf file you need acrobat reader in order for it to work.

its about time they start thinking STRIKE. Well they did mention that they were still talking transition as well, I asked a member of the transition talks and hes heard NADA. Could this be where the IAM leadership says goodbye to the committee and makes their own decision?

Also a Sr Exec (Paladini) was in vegas on Tues and stated that "the IAM presented a counter proposal recently and that a deal could be done very soon." If that happens i would think that this letter put out by the union was to show that they are willing to stand up to the company but also willing to sell the membership somewhat short depending on what comes out of the agreement if there is one. So many possibilities. She also stated that the sompany will go forward for a one certificate airline wether we are merged or not within our contracts.

One employee told me today that Doug has made it clear he is going to take risks, he is taking risks with us and when are we going to show him when it is too risky?

DONNA PALADINI
Vice President, Customer Service West
Donna Paladini is responsible for airport operations, including ticketing, gates, baggage and ramp functions, within the western region.
Donna recently served as the US Airways' vice president of Customer Service. She started with US Airways in 1982 as an auditor. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh.

Was she talking about Fleet or M&R?

I'm wondering why the IAM is still talking to the company about a transition agreement [at this time],
I would like the IAM to tell the company, that since you decided to go back on your word concerning the 'change of control' arbitration,
Then there is no reason to continue talking about a transition agreement..[until the decision on the 'change of control' grievance is known]..
I believe it is well worth the wait, to actually negotiate a transition agreement from a position of strength..
Hopefully the IAM will not end up selling the membership short on some POS offer from the company BEFORE the grievance is heard.

I feel that the reason the union maybe doing it is because of severe pressure from the west. many employees stand to recieve more than a 50% raise, and alot of them are sick of being under a contract that was ammendable in 2005 with payrates based in the year 2000. It wouldnt be bad if an agreement happened soon not give the house away in the field stations and them not extend the 2009 ammendable date. its 2 years away.

Strike will never happen! Weren't willing to do it when everything was on the line not going to do it over this I guarantee!! To many blue hairs with the attitude well at least I have a job! Or if we work harder they will take care of us! In the real world you are rewarded for hard work at U the CEO's are rewarded for your hard work and not the employees!

Well its no surprise, this has happened before just slightly differant situations.hehehe.........
Ive still got my strike of 92 t/shirt,BOSTON 92 uuraahhhh.
We just have a lot of new players on the field.
I my self would like to see this go to arbitration this time, may take a bit of time but I think it would be worth it.
I wouldnt get to upset about a strike until you start seeing all those STS cards in the mail looking to hire A&P's for work.
I started getting them months in advance of the northwest strike,I guess STS is in the scab supply chain now.

Time to put away some money for soup again....come on TEMPE this ones going to leave a mark..

Per THE IBT CONTRACT That is What the WEST is UNDER WE IN THE WEST CAN NOT STRIKE.
So If Anyone Strike's it Will Have To Be the EAST People.
:)
