Piedmont returned the 200 because the lease was up and HDQ that is Usairways group did not want to extend or renew the leases since the own the 100.
There is a rumour that they may actually get the Q's

Here's further clarification: The lease terms were increased substantially on the 200 at term. We own 33 of the 100s, not all.

The problem remains: How can Mesa acquire AND paint the planes we're too strapped to either keep or paint?

Management's argument would be that Piedmonts Pilot group is more expense to operate the 200's then Mesa!

However, you get what you pay for! Mesa's whole operation is something out of a Cracker Jacks Box.

I think the East guys would be impressed with Mesa's West operation.. its night and day compared to the former ERJ operation in CLT.
