Delta MD80 with 149 Pax Encounters Seagulls in ROC

On Sunday Oct 11, the Delta 3Pm departure for ATL with 149 Pax onboard took off from ROC and ingested seagulls on takeoff. The aircraft returned to ROC safely with CFR, on their heels. The MD80 still sits at a ROC MTC building as of Tues AM. Looks like we have another Sulley among us. The story is still all over the local ROC news, but nothing national. You could really hear the popping noise when the gulls were ingested into the engines. So glad that they landed safely.

Im guessing that those -219 kept "popping' AND making power!
Sulley did a greay job but so do lots of pilots all over the world, he just did his job in the media capital of the world.
