Yeah, i think they postponed it due to the trapped miners saga that was playing out in Utah.

You are right... it was actually postponed 3 times because of the mine story in Utah.

Its been 20 years since Delta purchased Western airlines and 16 since Pan AM's European system, why the hell took them so long? This should have happened years ago before 9/11, its only a 767 with 200 seats; they couls have fed it easily.
