Delta Air Lines shrinks Dubai service

no need for sarcasm.the site EXISTS and many people know it.I offered the balanced objective assessments for both schedule issues; neither are knocking anyone.let's recap one more time regarding THIS issue: DL is reducing ATL-DXB. This is not the first year that DL has not flown ATL-DXB on a daily basis thruout the winter. DL has noted that the growth of the ME3 is affecting its performance on the route. DOT data shows that the majority of DL's top O&Ds to DXB just 5 years ago now have nonstop EK service. Those are facts and they aren't personal.
That's where are completely wrong - you went to lengths to document a list of AA reductions however if you were being fair and balanced you would have produced and equal size list for DL - this is how you lose every argument you make

DL didn't just release a list of changes to its network.

Quit approaching this whole process of talking about the business of aviation as if it is a jousting match.

Good point. WT routinely points at other US airlines' schedule reductions, and rarely on the schedule adds, unless of course they're DL's.

no, it really isn't. because DL makes seasonal schedule changes all of the time.

It is precisely ONE of the reasons why DL has achieved the level of RASM growth that it has.... because DL flies when the market is there and doesn't when it doesn't make financial sense to do so.

UA has figured it out and AA is now as well and the level of changes at both carriers are increasing -as their mgmts. promised. US used it very effectively.

To act as if it is a sin against humanity to talk about a business process which works demonstrates the level of understanding regarding basic business processes in the industry.

Delta introduced DXB at 5w in 2007. It went to 6w about a year later and daily a year after that. It has never operated at less-than-daily on a regular basis since then. It was daily last winter.

wrong.

DL Scheduled and operated ATL-DXB on a less-than-daily basis for both Jan and Feb 2015.

check T100 data.
