But you just added expenses in maintenance and logistics to U's plate as well as crew training issues...issues we can ill afford for obvious reasons.
P&W's Vs. our beloved RR's in the engine segement alone, Tooling , Training and spares just took a quantum step backwards in this scenario. Now if Ole Doc Bronner could get a direct one for one swap for UA's for more equipped like ours? I say jump all over it !!!
Then we have the un-certain status of these aircrafts servicing needs. When are they due heavy checks???....can we have the added tooling and fixtures available in time?
Keep in mind Diesel8 , Dave and crew used Tooling and available space as a feeble excuse to attempt out-sourcing our Airbus narrow body work...the last thing we need to do is offer an expert like Dave another chance to let profits and performance get in the way of a good excuse for poor standings and performance.
I wish we could afford more B757's with RB-211-535's on them...our service from them are great , excluding a couple of the EX-EAL birds that were monkied with by Dyn-Air prior to us taking delivery of them.
