What does it matter anyway? No one really wants to hear what obscene proposals were layed out by either management or the CWA. Unless of course the CWA negotiated for the agents' "Get Out of Jail" card.

But it will backfire on them.

When negotiations near an end and there is silence it usually means the parties are getting closer to a deal. I believe there will be a TA with the CWA and AFA in the not-so-distant future.

Word on the floor is the company put several things back on the table, including a decent buyout package. In exchange, no new res agents, all vacant positions and future attrition would be covered by a 3rd party.

I hear the same......the buyout package which was all but cooked after the filing is back on the table. Now it is up to the CWA to get a grip and either loose the RES union dues or loose all of them !

Remember its business, not personal !

A320pilot is correct...things are progressing as we speak and we hopefully will hear something tomorrow if the same progress is made as the previous days. I know a lot of you want to know what the heck is going on, I do too but prefer to have the complete picture instead of snapshots so to speak.

It is my understanding that the BuyOut for CWA is predicated only on being able to oursource some of the Res jobs. The company says that is the only way they can provide buyout funds. We'll see soon.

Lets see a "buy out package" in exchange for the right to outsource jobs. Sounds like another group on the property that "eat their young". Just remember on give back #4 they will be after your job!!!! :down:

Does anyone seriously believe this management team can run this company without returning again for #4 and #5 and so on........for more give backs? This is the best of their ability, folks, keep getting from labor and outsourcing jobs.
