I saw an ad for work at DCA in the Washington Post today. Free flight passes immediately after hire. Three inerviews on Oct 7th at CCY...Customer Service / Fleet Service. No word on wages....

I also heard that DCA has handed out 21 Customer Service furlough packets. I wonder if the agents in PIT are being offered DCA as a choice???

Seems a bit curious.....New Hires...

Same thing in the CLT Observer today. Hiring fleet service and customer service.
Whats up with that? CWA, IAM, care to comment on this? CLT just laid off 33ish people mid september. Makes me scratch my head.

Can you say, "Ready to go in case the current employees walk off the job?" (Remember they have asked the court for permission to replace striking or quitting workers immediately.)

It may be for MidAtlantic positions. MDA DCA crew base is/was supposed to open in November, and the company has indicated that DCA will have a big MDA presence- larger than PIT.

In PHL, mainline customer service/fleet service handles mainline, Piedmont handles all Express except MDA, and MidAtlantic is hiring it's own new hires. Mainline is currently handling the MDA flights, in the Express terminal, and training thier MDA replacements before they get furloughed. Mad world.

You got it.

They interview almost every week in PHL trying to get these positions filled. The ads in the paper say Usairway's, but they not for mainline.
